Machine guns that hold 500 bullets per mag
Helicopters quiet enough to hold a normal conversation in
But really, car related goofs.
Working on the diff of a Mini under the rear during the Italian Job
15 gear changes during a drag race and when your opponent is dead level and giving you the evils, you put your foot down even harder.

Don't know if it's a mistake as such, but in 'Heat' there's a scene where they break into a bank computer room through the floor, to swap out the security alarm circuit boards. The backplane PCB has these ridiculously long ribbon cables, just the right length to enable them to drop the backplane down to swap out the circuit boards.

Oh yes. Especially 1950s/60s productions where the actors have modern hair styles and all the WW2 trucks are Bedford RLs painted with swastikas. The Me109s are often Pilatus light aircraft. I'd like to say it's laziness, but I suppose that there weren't so many military preservation clubs about at the time, and most of the stuff we now see at meetings was still rusting in some scrapyard.

95% of actors dressed in uniform look like a bag of st. Berets are particularly bad.Actors can never get wearing uniforms or kit right, but as we know it takes a squaddies years of experience and tweaking to get your webbing, for example, exactly how you want it. Then factor in the squaddie lives in the stuff, it's like it's part of their bodies and they look natural carrying the weight.
Actors simply can't get that.

This surprises me a bit. Whilst Stallones exploits clearly bear no resemblance to actual combat, what about films like a bridge to far, black hawk down and more recently Fury. I went to Bovingdon last week and there was an exhibit explaining how they provided a lot of support to ensure accuracy. My feeling would be those guys know what they are talking about.robemcdonald said:

As above really, actors don't move and carry themselves like soldiers regardless of the accuracy of the props etc... It's not their fault, just the way it is.
You are obviously speaking from experience and based on your location I guess you know what you are talking about. I suppose if they ever bothered to do a movie about sales reps I would be in the same boat as you.Die Hard. McLane arrives at the Nakatomi building and is told to use the name database screen for his wife. When he finds it he says (forget what floor number) and the reception gimp says "its the party, they're the only ones left in the building". Why didn't he just say that when McLane first asked. Yes I know it sets up the different name thing but its a clumsy way to do it.

Tapping at things with a pick axe etc.
Running around with a bloody pistol instead of picking up the assault rifle off the dead bad guy.
Also crappy sound editing like this Tesla V8:
