Perez wants his contract sorted by Japan but apparently the stumbling block is he only wants a 12 month contract and is holding out for Ferrari when Kimi leaves.
Perez would be mad to hold out for anything other than getting the best seat available for next year. I mean if current form continues who is to say they don't just renew Raikkonen for 2018? Plus Ricciardo, Hamilton and who knows who else could be available by then.

Seriously? Ferrari are thinking of dropping Raikonnen and hiring Perez?

I doubt it.

I agree.

Seen a few mutterings that suggest that Stroll has the Williams gig for $35m.. lets wait and see. Bottas is also allegedly staying on a 2 year contract.

KMag is getting a bit frustrated waiting on Renault to give him the nod, seems there is a bit of a power struggle going on within the team that his holding everything up.

I reckon if Palmer is still around he'll be in a Manor or Sauber.

Just seen some internet gossip (it'd be a stretch to call it news!) that James Allison is headed to Red Bull, to take over from Newey in 2018.

I like Button but I don't think he's the man to extract the maximum from what is recently showing itself to be a dog of a car, nor is he the man to develop it into a car which isn't a dog.

I always got the impression that when he leads the team Button busily develops the car into a cul-de-sac in pursuit of his personal goldilocks zone.

If I were HAAS, I'd be looking at the current wealth of young but experienced drivers. I don't know who is available but someone like Saintz, Magnussen, Bottas or Hulkenberg...

Why would he? If he does anything, I'd have thought it would be to design racing yachts

Horner in charge? Oh, please no.

I assumed Toto was lining himself up for it.

Maybe Chase Carey is going to do it all.

Who knows.

Kvyat being retained certainly closes the market up a bit doesn't it?

Would never happen, ferrari poltic is the complete antithesis of what he wants

Mrs hb slightly disappointed, she wanted kvvat alongside perez at FI, wonder whats in it for RB to retain him given TR is a feeder team, when they have two drivers theyre very happy with on solid contracts at RB and a great backup in carlos, surely theyd have promoted a promising kid?

Dont get me wrong I feel he deserves a 2nd chance I just dont get RBs logic given theyve already kind of written him off.

Well it has been some races now and Ocon hasn't taken to the Manor as Verstappen did to the Red Bull. Pascal to Force India?

Lance Stroll now officially at Williams, partnering Bottas.

I fear his win ratio is about to take a pounding, it's mighty impressive at the moment.
