Until I saw his post I thought I was looking at photographs of Rosberg trying to T bone Hamilton.
Just out of interest, how did you get that from my post?
Lighten up Z... how about because that's exactly what it looks like. biglaugh
No amount of fancy words dresses up the fact that Rosberg drove into the side of Hamilton's car.

Nico seemed to struggle more than Hamilton with tyre graining during the race, this was compounded by Hamilton being on the more durable soft tyre at the end.

I've no doubt Nico needed that second pit stop. What is less clear is whether Hamilton did- He probably felt that having stretched his first set so far he should be able to one stop and it probably would've been a slam-dunk victory. That Mercedes pitted Hamilton again was probably his grievance.

Gosh yes, but wasn't johnxjsc1985 insinuating that I was suggesting otherwise? Maybe I've had too much coffee but I didn't even comment about who was to blame, but people are so quick to get up in arms. One of the reasons I tend to actively avoid discussing anything to do with Hamilton in here (even the positives). You get the feeling that people are just waiting to jump on you with the merest hint of any negatives about him. It's pretty unpleasant.

If we forget the last lap incident, if Nico had won, would he have deserved it ?
Hypothetical - 6th to 1st. Yes, well deserved. If the other guy/team had problems, so what?

Someone insinuated that I’d claimed Rosberg had tried to squeeze Hamilton off the circuit in the braking zone earlier. I find it easier to ignore insinuations!

Tiresome isn’t it, Say something positive about Rosberg and a flood of people will start bleating on about how much better Hamilton is, say something positive about Hamilton and his detractors will call you a ‘fanboy’ and start going on about his lifestyle choices.

To be fair that's because for most of time in F1 there have been a significant number of irritating number of people on Pistonheads posting derogatory remarks about him at every possible opportunity. Stuff ranging from his gold chain, his watch, his glasses, his friends, his clothes, his dog, his girlfriend, his taste in music etc. ad nauseum.

Because I have 3 sons (and a son-in-law) all of whom dress rather differently to me I am totally oblivious to such things. biggrin

He does however happen to be the most exciting British F1 driver since our Nige' and for that reason I give him my full support. The fact that the bigots on this section get wound up by such insignificant trivia makes my enjoyment of supporting him all the greater biglaugh

That's a good point, he also seemed in control when in front on the same tyre. It all fell apart when they went onto different tyres.

I'll just leave this here:

A few observations:

Rosberg didn't try to run Hamilton off track in the braking zone--no squeezing.

Rosberg's line suggests he intended to close Hamilton out mid corner/exit.

Hamilton's line was not ideal for a switch back which is what he was trying to do, but his turn in was also awfully late, because he out braked Rosberg too much to modulate for the switch back, I think? Or have I got this the other way around?

ETA: Hard to believe the blind spot suggestion too, as you often see racers give space to each other in similar positions in the 1st corner.

Can you just stick to creating great f1 threads instead of this deluded flogging of the dead horse coming up with ideas to vindicate rosbergs cheating.

not sure if you are on a wind up but its called banter . If its such a harsh environment for your sensitive nature you always have options. So many people complain about the forum but they still keep posting its a
broad church best not to take things to heart.

it doesn't always come across like (good humoured) banter if you are the person expressing the minority view on here. Its like mob rule at times. True.

yes, I do agree, but its not very good humoured at times, especially if anyone criticises Hamilton e.g. there's someone on one of the threads refering to non-Hamilton fans as 'bigots'. Its sometimes just pointlessly rude and aggressive. Its just my opinion, no biggie smile

I get that I really do but you can ignore them. This forum is ok and the vast majority you can have a good ding dong with and then move on. And your right its no biggie and nothing on here really is.

Banter is fine, but at least read what was posted and respond to the points made rather than attacking the motives which you have no clue about, or invent stuff that the poster never said. Is it really too hard to pay attention a bit? Oh well. On to the next one.
