If your coming down the M1 then I guess you'll be coming into Silverstone from the east/Towcester. This "should" automatically put you in the right lane(s) for the hard-standing car parks. If you come in from Brackley way, they tend to send you over onto the west-bound carriageway which put's you in the Grass car parks. That gives them 7 odd lanes of traffic for the car parks. Massive queues are a thing of the past. You want to be carefull leaving the circuit as well if your on the grass car park. They'll try and swend you through the forest = nightmare!!! Always try and leave via the main roads in.....

Little London is about 30mins walk to the Circuit as well..... there's a shortcut, if I remember correctly, from the center of the village going by the school!

I used to live on Little London in the Silverstone about 20 odd years ago, and have been to the GP for the last 30ish years so know the area pretty well.

£50 is absolute madness when you've spent 100's on tickets...!!

I'm fortunate in 2 ways this year as I won a pair of weekend tickets from Auto Express magazine (forgotten I'd entered until I got the email last week that I actually thought was a phishing email) and I work right next to the circuit so can park there for nowt, just need a decent result for Force India now after last weekends bad luck.

What sort of time is it best to get there? Found out today I'm getting free tickets for Sunday! Not sure what time it opens etc.
Can't wait!

Gates open at 6, so 5:30 I'd say.

Turned down a free ticket to a grandstand seat at Vale today due to the £60 costs... Add in fuel for the journey and it's £100 for a 'free' day out. I'll sit at home with beer and sky f1. No panic for the football in the evenimg this way either ..

Sorry it's taken so long to get this posted, life has been hectic!

I was lucky enough to win F1 tickets from PH in the 12 days of Christmas competition, they've included blue parking tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday which I don't need as the prize includes camping at Whittlebury.

So the tickets are free to a good home, first come, first served.

Cheers

Bugger. I need this, but I leave Friday morning, so no way to get tickets to me?!

I've emailed you.

Unfortunately NJK44 can't get to me to pick up the tickets so the offer is still open.
It'll either have to be pick up in person in London tonight, or Essex tomorrow.

I'm leaving Bristol at 7 so hopefully be there for 9ish. Would that be too late parking wise etc? Apologies for the questions. But never been before.

When the place flooded a few years ago, the Silverstone FB page was full of kind souls (locals) offering up their driveways, since then I always park at the same driveway, 20 minute walk to the circuit, and all for the price of a bottle of wine biggrin

Never have i had it so easy to get in or out, left leicester at 630 in about an hour later only hold ups were due to morning traffic and rain. Leaving we left after red flag at the porsche practice and straight out only the M1 caused a little issue.

All this and on a Friday which was busier than i have ever seen.

Just got back after qualifying and noticed a lot of parked cars in the hard standing area behind Luffield had penalty notices on them - couldn't see if it was trying to park with a Sunday only pass or not filled out the number plate on the parking pass, but fines definitely being issued.

Thanks for that. Just got back from quali myself and hadn't noticed you now need to enter reg. no. to validate ticket. No doubt a lot of those getting penalties weren't displaying 'valid' ticket. Very weaselly. Reg. no. Now added for tomorrow. Phew.

Don't think it was due to reg number as i hadnt put mine on as didnt know i had too until in car park and had no pen. Car next to mine but one had a ticket. So i was either very lucky or this isn't the reason.
