So come on guys, I know for a fact there are some macca employees on this board, Jenson was godlike in a kart anyone who saw him was in awe, yet Lewis was faster in an F1 car lap for lap, can anyone expand on who what and why?
Just a wild stab in the dark... Lewis is better?Well, it looks like it is pretty official on the F1 retirement now. Jenson has now dropped all pretence of sabbatical and maybe coming back in 2018, and is openly talking about retirement, and new-Ron at McLaren has said the same.
Whatever Jenson chooses to do, I wish him all the best. An absolute gent and worthy of his long F1 career.
It's a shame that he was only pipped into 3rd place on the largest number of F1 starts by only 1 race, and who knows as Reserve Driver for 2017 it's possible that he could make that joint 2nd. But either way, he's had a good F1 career.
As others have said, being paid to race in F1 these days is an accolade in itself. To do so for as long as he has, even more so.

And he mentioned trying other race series (but not Formula E!), would be amazed if he didn't appear at Le Mans and some Rallycross events in the next two years.
Le Mans is a good shout. One of the crown jewels, but doesn't involve anywhere near as much commitment as a season of F1. When he was speaking to David and Mark, and subsequently Ted on his notebook.
He sounded pissed (drunk) and to be honest a bit of a plum. Almost as if the nice respectful PR inclined chap was finally cast aside.
Which is a shame, cause I don't think he's a helmet, but he should have thought a little harder.
That sculpture C4 gave him cannot have been cheap! Looked brilliant though!
Standard version is £31K!

Really? I thought his C4 interview was the most 'real' thing I've seen in the F1 paddock all season, great fun. In fact I was thinking what an asset he will be to whatever series he ends up joining/making guest appearances at.He sounded pissed (drunk) and to be honest a bit of a plum. There are privateer teams that are running the Mclaren (Shane Van Gisbergen) has been parachuted into various cars this season in different championships so it's definitely possible & as a team owner why would you not want him in your seat.
In case you haven't heard of SVG he's a V8 Supercar driver who can pedal a car around a track.
Here are few clips:

JB & SVG would be a superb pairing.
