They are doing an excellent job. Jordan does have his place though, asking hard questions that no one else asks. He may act the fool but do not underestimate his connections.

I'm not warming to Steve Jones. He's an OK teen lite presenter but he doesn't appear to be developing his knowledge the way Jake did or Simon on Sky.

Yes, I much prefer C4 to Sky. I actively avoid Sky whenever possible, to the extent of arranging my day to come in ready for the highlight package.

I think Steve Jones is getting better. You can't expect him to develop that much knowledge in a handful of races where there was little prior notice and no expectation the gig will continue. Jake had plenty of time to prepare pre-season and then had several years to increase his knowledge, while also expecting to be filling the role for several years to come and thus making the investment worthwhile.

I'm afraid I find EJ irritating in the extreme. Yesterday he appeared to be unable to walk and talk at the same time and totally hashed up the link to the karting segment. He was similarly irritating to me on Top Gear, I just can't warm to the guy.

Forgot about that, was pretty amateur. Jordan has done some good interviews in the past though. I can't see why C4 don't try to lie more of them up - especially as he isn't travelling much out of Europe.

Do you think Susie would have allowed anyone else but Jones access to her tent?

nono

I think he's doing all right

And I will NOT be buying Sky's efforts when we lose 'free to air F1', so Bernie has cut the guts out of it for me

Ch4 are no less good than the later BBC version but that the ad breaks stop us seeing the fabled room of shame is an annoyance

I used to enjoy seeing that

Yeah I really enjoyed C4 this race. I even thought the grid walk was the best I've seen in years! laugh

I don't have Sky so always use the live C4 (previously BBC) coverage and relevant highlights packages on the non live weekends.

Coverage was good again this weekend and I'm glad they added the extra hour onto the coverage rather than cutting off at 3pm like they have with other races, which left little time for extra review, etc, that you used to get with the red button forum on BBC.

The grid walk today was the most amusing in a while hehe as was the outtake of David leaving a hole in the front of the Mclaren hehe

Watched with CH4 and loved it, but took a ciggie break before I posted this and now I can't remember the Welsh bloke's name - Steve something? Jones, Evans or Williams, who cares?

He is disposable in the same way Jake whatever was on the beeb!

Apart from that C4 coverage has been very good, with DC, MW and SW! Great!

But sadly EJ still appears from time to time - what a sore looser he is! If that bugs him so much maybe he should have done better when he had a team of his own - except he couldn't, so maybe (or hopefully) EJ is heading for the Steve (who), Jake (who) exit soon! Please, please.......!

I don't mind the coverage. As someone else said, it's more or less like the Beeb's effort.

My only complaint is for the all4 viewer - its interface and labelling F1 as episodes.

Watched both now and C4 is head and shoulders above Sky. The addition of Mark Webber to the commentary team was an inspired decision which gave a much deeper understanding of events.

Damon Hill and Anthony Davidson are both excellent on Sky, but the only aspects worth watching for and neither has much exposure amongst all the ''banter''. Martin Brundle sounds fed up with Croft's mistakes and inane comments.

The clowning on Sky with Johnny 'sortof' Herbert was absolutely pathetic and I really cannot imagine who over the age of 7 would find that funny or amusing. Steve Jones may have presented a childrens programme in the past but it appears the Sky F1 coverage is actually aimed at children.

The fact their online service thing wont let you pause or rewind if you're watching live is bloody annoying.

I don't mind Jordan TBH. He can be a little OTT, but he does ask the questions that no one else is prepared to ask.

I struggle with Steve Jones - he just seems a bit too smarmy / try hard.

Love Mark Webber, he has a don't care attitude, loved it when he asked Claire Williams, along the lines of,''when they going to get rid of Massa, and get a young charger in,your old man must be gagging for it, he loves a racer''..

I got rid of Sky earlier this year so it's been C4 for me. Ben Edwards gets too over exited at the slightest thing and I don't think the DC/MW dual grid walk works. They tried this before and they went off in different directions and the cameraman didn't know who to follow.

Mark was 'awesome mate' all weekend, he was just like a giddy child (in a good way) he was so enthusiastic even came across in the commentary, you could hear Mark laughing in that excited way we all do when some of the more ballsy overtakes were happening (Max on Rosberg) it was brilliant to see such enthusiasm. He an Coulthard make a good double act.

I think Steve Jones is still a little bit irritating but certainly better than the start of the season and it seems a chemistry is building between him and Coulthard. The Coulthard and Webber duo worked well especially with Jenson Button and I enjoyed the expression of love between Toto and Susie. Eddie Jordan...mmmm. I like that he has an opinion but he doesn't have to put all his interviewees on the spot with a controversial question. Holly Samos was terrible the other week.

Watched it on C4. I think C4 is better than BBC was. Agree with the comments on EJ. He is getting irritating and has to always be right, and I think he seems to have lost the hot news insight he used to have. Always seems to make a song and dance about asking the fundamental question that everone needs the answer to...but has already been asked, just not in an Irish accent. I think Steve Jones is doing really well for only having half a season under his belt. Miles ahead of his predecessor on the BBC...Susie Perry. Don't think she got it and seemed to always be checking her iPad for the next question rather than actually getting engaged in the conversation and banter. Agree about DC and MW, maybe JB could join then next year...wouldn't need any racing then
