Thanks for that - I enjoyed that. Doesn't look like I was right about Red Bull being right up there / maybe in front with Merc. Still, tomorrow's another day and Sunday's when the points are awarded.

ref Hamilton's off... I think it will hurt him, he'll be playing catchup from now on and he'd rather have had the laps under his belt than not. Saying all of that all I think is that it will ultimately bring Lewis and Nico closer together in terms of pole lap time so it just depends on how close they were going to be... If it's less than quarter of a second then Nico could well snatch pole. If Lewis was going to be more than that ahead of Nico I think he'll still be on pole.
Time will tell!

Interesting Team Principle press conference; all teams talking about sresses and strains of the current schedule and feeding back that some staff aren't happy. Pat Symonds speaking very eloquently on the subject. Seems there not much happy about anything, including restrictions on team radio traffic. Is anyone listening?

I'll put £10 to your charity of choice if he is not, at the end of P3, in the top 2......Time will tell!
So this weekend is going to be dominated by track limits and radio ban discussion by the looks of the SKY coverage this morning. Do we really need silly sensors to tell the drivers are pushing the limits? Will they enforce penalties during the race for everyone else well? What if someone is forced off by someone else or a car issue?
The whole thing just seems a bit ridiculous IMO

This bet is in real danger of losing with only 7 mins to go!Your choice really, but maybe the next time you see someone collecting pop a tenner in the collection tin? Or big C or something local/personal to you.
Qualifying will be totally different - ambient and track temps will be a lot different....

So Max did 15 fewer laps and was on it. Quali should be interesting. I'd love to see more of Max schooling the others in the race but he might already be in front.
Max was only doing quali work, Dan did an extra run on the Super Soft...presumably to validate changes made to the car in view of the race pace. Ditto Vettel and Hamilton, the latter having a feel for the first time due to lack of running yesterday. None of them came close to the kind of pace Rosberg was showing yesterday. Ferrari seem closer to Red Bull today. I have a suspicion that Red Bull are sandbagging with their Sector 1 speeds. Let's see if they let rip in Quali.
Chandhok on C4 talking to Charlie about the radio rules. Rosberg got a 10 second penalty, the new rules say they can talk in the pits, so that's 20 seconds, why not risk telling the driver on track and get 10 seconds?
They were the old rules, these rules now mean that tech talk on track gets at least a drive through penalty.

Hidden management strategy--no longer "hey Nico Lewis is faster" now it's "hey mann, like dude you're rear brakes are too ho.....oh s##t...They were the old rules, these rules now mean that tech talk on track gets at least a drive through penalty.
