You do surprise me.
I, on the other hand, would like to see them race each other without penalties involved.
Normally, I'd like them to race, knowing full well that Lewis would beat Nico in a fair fight 9/10 times. I, on the other hand, would like to see them race each other without penalties involved.
However, considering Nico is incompetent at defending and racecraft in general, I don't want that fool anywhere near the guy I support, in case he takes him out again.

Wouldn't worry about it, the guy you support is capable of crashing into anyone, as we all know.

Press conference. Max is very chilled talking to the press while NR still manages to come across as a bit of an entitled d**k, see 28:30. A forced smile is very easy to see whereas Max comes across as genuinely friendly and enthusiastic. Let's hope this attitude doesn't change in years ahead.

I think you're projecting your opinion onto Rosberg. Seemed fair enough to me - the whole line of questioning was very awkward.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InIUsp52MeE

Possibly so but I do find his manner quite abrasive and unfriendly. He often shows this in these press conferences. The others seemed to react in a friendly manner to what I thought was a good question.motorsport.com said:
From now on, if a team warns a driver that there is a problem with the car it must include an instruction that forces the driver to come into the pits for necessary repairs.
This will automatically result in a hefty time penalty that would discourage any team using a potential safety issue for performance benefits.
The new FIA note says that a permitted message is: "Indication of a problem with the car, any message of this sort must include an irreversible instruction to enter the pits to rectify the problem or to retire the car."
A newly-worded part referencing what is allowed states: "Instructions to select driver defaults, this must be for the sole purpose of mitigating loss of function of a sensor, actuator or controller whose degradation or failure was not detected and handled by the onboard software.
"It will be the responsibility of any team giving any such instruction to satisfy the FIA technical delegate that this was the case and that any new setting chosen in this way did not enhance the performance of the car beyond that prior to the loss of function (see Article 8.2.4 of the Technical Regulations)."
Rules on information about car damage have also been tightened up, with teams now only allowed to tell drivers about broken 'bodywork' rather than other components.
Another change is that the FIA radio restrictions will now only count when the car is out of the pitlane, rather than simply out of the garage as had been in place before.
This in theory means that if drivers are coming down the pitlane with a critical problem then they can receive instructions to fix the issue without the need to go into the garage.

I think Nico's problem is he speaks with no heart or passion. Everything is answered as if he's trying not to fall into a trap. But as a result, we don't get to hear what he actually thinks - we get robot Nico. Lewis can be an idiot at times. But at least he's an idiot that speaks his mind.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InIUsp52MeE

On to this weekend. I see it being a weak weekend for Mercedes but one in which Lewis is top 3 while Nico is not. I think Danny Ric will demonstrate he's not going to be pushed around by Verstappen and those two, with Lewis, will be the podium. Seems to be quite a bit about on the net with people talking about how great it is to go to Hungary. I remember the early races - they were all borefests. It helped when they modified the track a bit, but the 1980s races were horrible here - it wasn't always better.

I am a Lewis fan as far as the racing goes, but I suspect this interview reflects the real Nico.

I don't blame Nico for being defensive and robotic at all. Rosberg has to watch what he is saying as he is facing a media that is often British based and largely pro-Hamilton, any remarks he makes (or any driver for that matter) are often taken out of context and twisted to fit a tabloid style of journalism that seems to have crept into F1 in recent years. So it is much more simple for him to put on a plastic smile and answer every question with well tried cliches that really do not inform the fans of much........ of course this leads to frustration from the journalists so that any slip up he makes and every micro expression that doesn't fit with what he is saying is turned into a huge deal, creating a bit of a negative feedback circle as he clams up even more next time around. Rosberg seems like a reasonable enough guy to me. His main problem is that while he is a brilliant racing driver and would beat much of the rest of the field he is not quite at Hamilton's level... and he knows it as does everyone else, but of course he can't admit that in the media... that is the elephant in the room IMO.
