Revised FIA radio rules

Distinctly uncommon to hear a motoring enthusiast moan that his/her vehicle would be better without 'modern' innovations such as fuel injection, power steering, etc. We don't strive to move motoring backwards so why should we push motorsport in the same direction.
Really? What about the constant debate about things like flappy paddle gearshifts and electric PAS removing driver involvement, and the rejoicing when Porsche brought out the GT4 and 911R with a manual gearbox. I don't think anybody wants to go back into the stone age, but there is a point where the physical human interaction in this activity is reduced or altered beyond a level we find desirable. Obviously every individual has a different threshold, but you cannot just dismiss its existence.DuncB7 said:
Formula 1 must keep moving forward at the forefront of technical innovation. Yes there will be hiccups and sidesteps during the forward progress such as these radio rules but it will all come out in the wash as they say.
Why must it? Let's not lose sight of the fact that this is motor racing, which is meant to entertain the viewing public. Ultimately this whole house of cards exists solely to sell stuff to the public. Let's see how long this current technological wkfest continues if nobody is watching.
