Lockup cost LH pole by the looks, should make tomorrow more interesting.

Kvyat is getting fired.
I feel sorry for him, he has been mentally broken by what has happened. He is only a young guy and he is watching his career and dreams go down the toilet in slow motion. It would almost be kinder for him if they just fired him over the summer break and saved him the shame of having to be the dead man walking for the rest of the season.
That interview was almost hard to watch. I'd pull him from that car asap and get someone else in. No point publicly killing the lad.
He's finished.

Credit to Rosberg there - mega mental strength considering the circumstances.

Great job from Raikkonen as he didn't even need to improve on his second run to still be ahead of Vettel. Has Kimi found his mojo or is Vettel driving with an air of desperation/frustration at the moment?

And as good as Verstappen is he must be getting a bit worried about being 7-1 down in qualifying to Ricciardo now.

Such a fall from the good form he showed early in the season. His head seems to be done in.

Paddy Lowe telling Sky F1 Rosberg has more fuel than Hamilton when he got pole.

He was fuelled for 2 flying laps because of his aborted lap.

German commentator also mentioned it with specific reference to "the world's most famous illegal goal" Which is what they do every time English football is mentioned. Clearly never saw the Hand of God then.

Back to F1

I am astonished that Hamilton can still get that close with his aging engine.

Demeanour in the press conference and Ricciardo's raised eyebrow almost suggests Mercedes have told them not to race hard tomorrow. Hope it's not a procession or it will be an afternoon nap instead.

Why would Mercedes be able to dictate to another team whether they can race hard or not? confused

????

The body language suggests the Merc drivers have been given some kind of instruction and Ricciardo smirked in response to the mood.

You're mad if you think Lewis will listen to team orders
