I would like to see Rosberg get the job done tomorrow.... another pole he really needs to convert it for once because it seems Hamilton just has huge momentum at the moment and unless Rosberg can turn it around the championship is going to turn into a victory parade after the summer break.
I would like to see Hamilton get the job done tomorrow. smile
If Lewis is directly behind, Nico will crack, again.

I can see Lewis getting a good start and P1 into T1

Foregone conclusion.

Forbid team orders.
Now try enforcing that. You can't. Code words have been used during the recent bans. They will always find a way.

How do you force a driver to race?
Don't know how they would enforce it but they should ban team orders again which would be a start. That was something the FIA did actually get right once.

Lewis will not obey anyway.

It does appear that the German manufacturer want a German winner at the German grand prix. Especially one that is struggling to pull in the crowds and is in danger of being removed from the race calender.
Fully agree, exactly felt the same way when Lewham won at Silvestone.

I disagree. They want a Merc 1-2 and don't care which way round, they just don't want them taking each other out.

BTCC at Snetterton runs a big risk of being mores exciting. This is a huge problem for Bernie and F1 generally.

If you are 10 years old, monster truck racing looks a lot more exciting.

If you are 10, it's possible that playing chicken is more exciting.

F1 needs to move towards the world as it is, rather the rich one they would prefer that you believe actually exists.

Apart from the fact Lewis gained 3+ seconds in 9 corners..

The problem I find with F1 is the manufacturers produce cars and technology that the fans...and therefore car sales would like....instead of listening to the fans on what they actually want!

fk the v6 hybrid hairdryers...I want v8/v10/v12 monsters that entertain us....

...people are fed up with being told what to think and what they want...fans these days just want to be entertained and many don't give a damn about how road relevant racing cars are....

...or am I wrong? Sat at the Silverstone classic watching old cars thinking fk yeh!

Not as exciting as V8 Supercars biggrin

I have to say I've just watched qualifying & I have to say that when I'm watching supposedly the best drivers in the world unable to stay within the white lines of the track I find it a joke especially when you're explaining to your son that although in other races we've watched you're not allowed go outside of the track but in F1 it's okay.

I then got the dreaded question of why are they allowed & I had nothing.

I really enjoy F1 but it doesn't do itself any favours when you can't get the most fundamental rule of racing to stick, as Brundle said why not let the drivers just take shortcuts!!

The racing has always been closer, but the mass market don't want to see people racing in cars that look like theirs, they want to see loony F1 machinery?

F1 is impressive but in terms of pure simplicity and racing, BTCC will always win.

The way rules are going this season, wouldn't be surprised to see some f1 fans tune out.

So would I. Hats off to Rosberg for his pole lap, it was a good one. However, I make no apologies for wanting Hamilton to win the World Championship. I've always enjoyed watching him race and the knobs who criticise his lifestyle just makes me want him to win more so. biggrin

My money is on Verstapen.

LH and NR touch, causing a broken front wing that needs to be replaced and puncture on the other car. Verstapen gets Ricciardo during the pit stops, Ricciardo ends up in a battle with Vettel so can't go chase the win.

Just a quick clip showing the full Hockenheim Circuit for those who've never seen it, now seeing F1 racing on this Circuit would be great.
