err... memory not serving you correct ...

seem to recall they were 1.5l and *any* cylinder configuration eg: BMW 4cyl in Brabham, Ferrari, Renault V6's and Alfa V8 (!)

as to the race: good luck for ROS (not a fan BTW!)
No, you're right. But having big capacity NA doesn't make the racing on its own.
