I am interested in getting a bike.
I've tried to find info on the interwebs, but nothing that helps my situation.

I'm 24, haven't taken any sort of bike test - CBT, theory or anything.

What can I ride (after a CBT etc) on L plates.

Is it just up to 125cc still?

I've had a car license for nearly 8 years.

125 on a Cbt and it expires every two years.

Best to save up and do the full test.

DVLA is crazy helpful.

24 = DAS.

But, you will need to do CBT and theory test first, before doing DAS. Bike training school/center will help you with this.

If you do a CBT only you will only be able to ride up to a 125cc.

Call your local bike training school/center, if they want your business they will explain it to you, and answer all your questions.

Great - thanks, I looked at the Gov.uk site and missed the practical test part!
