I would imagine it'll be a Mercedes stomp, provided nothing goes wrong for them.

Will be interesting to see how/what Max does.

I reckon qualifying should be a straight fight between Mercedes and Ferrari but Mercedes will have the upperhand in racepace. Another Hamilton win unless Ferrari/Red Bull can do something about it. A clear 2-stopper but looks like a few teams are interested in evaluating the Medium tyre too for a 1-stop. This should create some exciting situations.

Does anybody know what the minimum tyre pressures will be for this weekend? I'm assuming balloons will not be required as at Spa as nowhere near the number of repeated high speed and camber corners.

an F1 car sounding like it should! Interesting tyres. Don't look like slicks?

Don't you remember the grooved tyres introduced to try and slow the cars down?

22 cars into 1 chicane doesn't go. Wonder how many cars Max can take out in lap one? You just wouldn't want to qualify anywhere near the little hot head on Sat afternoon.

Please please let him have a 22 place grid penalty of Sunday.

Oh yes. They really worked then!!! Fastest ever lap on "slow" tyres. Great idea!

I have to say, this does not make me nostalgic for grooved tyres and even the V10 sounds a bit irritating through this observer's smart phone. Of course they sounded great in the flesh. Of course the same can be said for the current V6Ts

I like the current engines I don't like the limited development which has made the last couple of yrs boring and the silly saving fuel all the time it's supposed to be racing

It'd be safer if he took pole and was first through the corner.

Until they switch on drs and he starts chopping faster, passing cars on the straight.

I saw a couple of cars use the halo protection thing in the first practice. What's the score with those? How does the driver get out? It looked like they we bolted on and not quick release.

It appears that Charlie W has had a word with Max and has threatened black and white and then black flags. It'll be interesting to see how if effects his driving.

Source? I saw the article that said they had been talking but no mention of anything else!

EFA - Sky F1 have updated the article!

So CW being useful for a change!

Not this black and white one, presumably:

From that same Sky article, CH not helping:

Verstappen has also angered Raikkonen by indicating he regarded his 'block' on Raikkonen during last week's Belgian GP to be 'payback' for their first-lap collision.

"To be honest with you like any 18-year-old [the criticism] seems to be going in one ear and out the other," added Horner.

"He really doesn't care, he's focused on his own job, he's not intimidated by the surroundings he's in and I think that's what marks him out as a real prick and wker of the future."
