I am a Hamilton fan, but you cannot take it away from Rosberg if he wins this year, he'll have taken his chances no matter how they arose.

Lewis is clearly the better driver though. biggrin
Yes, agree. Top level sport is all about taking your chance whenever and however it presents itself. Yet to see if Rosberg will choke.

Clearly his heart will be in his mouth, lets see if he can overcome the pressure.

Fingers crossed for a cracking end to the season whatever happens.

Wouldn't mind a dnf for Rosberg to even it up a bit, then a straight fight over the last races, but either way, a win is a win. Many other 'worthy' champions have won on the back of reliability.

Just wish he hadn't had the Spain and Austria incidents.

If I had to bet the house on it, I still say Hamilton.

I reckon Rosberg will choke under pressure.

He has been looking a bit shaky for the last few races but i think he'll be on the podium at Abu Dhabi and therefore WDC.

Hamilton will out quali him for pole.

Then on Sunday, instead of disappearing off into the distance allowing a rosberg second place, he needs to back him into the chasing pack, safe in the knowledge ros doesn't have the race craft to pass him.

I think ros will be terrified of a ham collision - the stewards would look at every single angle.

And I think if he gets swamped he'll be terrified of a race-ending shunt. Basically I think he'll drive like a timid kitten which is not a good mindset. He has everything to lose.

I'm a Hamilton fan though, happy to admit it.

True. But was gas he got to lose? Nothing, his runners up medal is safe.

May as well get out in front and then slow it all down and create a feeding frenzy! I think the final race will be spectacular.

Don't think anyone will fancy being the person that 'took Nico out' so reckon he will be 2nd behind Lewis.

Rosberg doesn't need to do anything special to win the WDC now, he can happily follow Lewis home and take it (regardless of what he says).

The only thing that can stop him imho is a mechanical failure.

Reliability has decided this year's title.

True but in the past this has been the case and things like punctures, crashes etc etc, that's what racing machines entails does it not? Just go back to the time in a season just getting the cars to even finish was a result!
The amount of WDC decided by factors like this are many, so what?
Personally i have no care who wins as its been a bit of a joke over the last 3 seasons.

wont be the first and will most certainly not be the last, since its also a team performance/reliability competition.

As a Hamilton fan, I agree with everything you said there except the final sentence. Nico has done enough thus far and I'm sure will in Abu Dhabi. We're certainly in a spell where the Merc is particularly dominant, but at least we haven't got the team with the dominant car selecting the champion with No1 driver getting preferential treatment on everything technical and everything strategic. The competitiveness issues are a natural risk in an extremely engineering lead, aero formula.

I actually find these cars the most fascinating we've ever had.

Same here i cant see the differance to the last 3 years team dominance wise to the 4 years before that TBH, or the 2000 to 2005 period and i like the hybrid aspect but that's just a nerdy technical preferance, i'm not overly fond of aero but i do love drive train details (i know i may well alone in that respect) i still think Nico will take it and deserve the win, championships have oftem been won by taking the luck or chances when they present themselves and Nico has certainly taken them when they appeared and i cant blame him for playing it safe when he has to.

I agree

Except for Spain and Austria. They will always be a blot on his wdc,

but then again, Senna was not overly averse to a collision, and has been lionised.

Must be nico's unfortunate face smile
