Sounds like I am going to have to do a few (oh dear). I really want something where I get to see lots of the race.

Make sure you pick a spot opposite a big screen.

I've only been to Silverstone and Monza - both camping for the weekend.

Silverstone: Track and camping facilities are really good and there are plenty of things going on following the racing on Saturday and Sunday.
Monza: Being near Milan and in Italy is great if you like travelling - you don't feel 'trapped' like in Silverstone. Camping and track facilities are nowhere near as good as Silverstone though. It's no cheaper either once travel is added but during the race I had a moment when I realised I was sitting at the Parabolica watching a GP race - that I won't forget.

Next for me is either Spa or Austria because I love the tracks. I'd suggest you do the same which track do you want to see an F1 car fly past you the most? Go to that one!

Francorchamps - definitely!

Silverstone - it's much improved over what it was.

Monaco - such an individual experience in its own right.

Those are the only ones I've been to.

I'd quite like to go to Circuit de Catalunya, Suzuka, Interlagos and maybe the Hungaroring.

In terms of viewing I found I saw more at Monaco - although that might have been because we had 3 different grandstands for each day and a screen in front of us on one of the days.

If you could choose just one.... (this should have been a poll!!) from the ones I've been to I'd go back to Monaco again (although it was mightily expensive), if cost is a factor then Francorchamps - but then I've been there quite a few times, not just for F1.

Does it have to be F1? I'd recommend going to Silverstone for the opening round of the WEC which is in April. Loads of freedom and space, plus grandstands which are open are free! (Tix already available via the circuit website). or Le Mans.

Then there are National circuits, but that would be going even more off topic... wink

I think it will come down to how you define "best", and you'll get a range of answers depending on what the criterion is.

Best circuit/racing?
Best facilities?
Best atmosphere?
Best in terms of other things going on as well?

I've been to Silverstone, but that was as a corporate guest so we had great facilities, big screen etc. I've also been to Monza, general access, also had a great time - the history of the place (we walked in under some of the old banking), the tifosi, the speed...but, crap facilities (and to think Bernie bhes about Silverstone!), and (in those days at least) few big screens, so after the first round of pitstops, really difficult to follow.

Friends have been to Spa and say it's a really good combination of great track and atmosphere (I think they consumed their own bodyweight in beer and chips & mayonnaise), and a friend went to Singapore one year and said that is a great all round weekend. Austin also seems to get good write ups.

Went to Suzuka last year and loved it. Fans very knowledgeable, you'll see old team shirts from years ago. Because it's so far away there's not many foreigners there so that's quite nice too. Feels more special somehow Loads to see and do, merchandise everywhere like at most places. There was a stage where you'd see a few current drivers and some ex drivers. Gerhard Berger was very good. He drove a classic Mclaren and while others were going fairly easy he was driving it like it was on a qualifying lap.

It is a long way and Nagoya which is an hour outside where we stayed isn't great compared to Tokyo but it's worth it just for the experience

Have done a few, Monza this year was excellent, and easy to get to from central Milan where I stayed. Spa is another good one for watching, and not too bad to get to by car depending on how far you live from the Tunnel..

Where you'll see cars only 44 times in the race.

If you like the cold, if you like mud and if you like drunk people then you're right.

The French one in the middle of June, by about 9 country miles.

I've been to Silverstone, Spa and Monza, and Spa is top of the list. Fantastic track.

Not really sure what to say about Monza, I found it hard to find my way around and ended up walking in circles, lost.

Silverstone is alright if you don't want to go abroad and I enjoy the afternoon/evening entertainment they put on. There are some great corners too.

Spa... the best thing about it is that unlike the other two, none of it is flat. It's all up and down. You've gotta see it.

I've been to Spa, Monza, Silverstone and Le Mans to watch top tier racing.

For F1 Monza had the best atmosphere and weather, stayed at lake como which was absolutely beautiful. Spa felt more special and as a track it was much more amazing to watch the cars blast round. Silverstone is just a horrible circuit to be at in my opinion, the flat nature of the track means that you always seem miles from the cars, even at Monza you could get a lot closer. Le Mans was a much better organised event than any F1 race i've been to, just seems like a proper special occasion with an amazing atmosphere.

I'll never forget standing half way down the straight between the second Lesmo and Ascari, watching the GP2 cars pick up speed was just phenomenal.

If I was to go see the F1 again, I'd pick Spa.

I've been to Monza a couple of times, Hungary and Spa.

Monza has a great atmosphere (god knows what it's like when Ferrari are doing well), fantastic weather, roaming in operation on Friday so you can spectate from most parts of the track, lots of options of where to say, we stayed in Como for a week so it's a race and a holiday all in one. I love the place.

Hungaroring, saw the best race I've ever seen in my life in 2015, great weather, stayed in Budapest, great city to visit, best food I've ever eaten at any track anywhere, tickets are cheap, very good for GA (we were in a grandstand as they're so cheap but wandered around a lot on Friday it wasn't roaming on Friday). Really enjoyed it.

Spa, we were there this year so the weather was fantastic, also this year the atmosphere was great (due to Max) and the place was rammed. Had GA tickets as that covers a lot of the track. No roaming on Friday though so didn't get to see Eau Rouge from the grandstand. Very hilly and some of the hills are properly steep, if you're not too steady on your feet I would think twice about Spa. The track itself is mind bogglingly different with the elevation changes and is certainly picturesque. Awesome weekend.

Impossible to say which was best, they were all great for different reasons.

Canada for me, but I might be biased.....I have always fancied Monaco as the best experience, closely followed by Spa,I have been to Silverstone but was not all that impressed, its patriotic and all that, but it left me cold for some reason.
I would go with Canada too. Fantastic weekend and so much to do

Used to be a superb venue at Magny Cours. Do they have plans to reintroduce the French Grand Prix?
