I think I'd pick Monaco for a variety of reasons but then say none, we are so spoilt with the tv coverage now that any circuit is a bit of a let done come the race.

Silverstone for the whole day's entertainment and hence relative value.

Spa because of the location and history.

Monaco just because.

I've done Monza a couple years back. Last year of the V8 engines.
Pretty good but the catering arrangements were a bit odd. Join one que to buy food and drink tokens. Then another que to get food then another que to get a beer.
Doing Abu Dhabi this year so see what that's like.

Been to Monza, Spa & Silverstone.

Monza is a great rack full of history. Not great for viewing though & Milan is a st hole. Great atmosphere.

Silverstone - Expensive, difficult to see a great deal (but better than Monza), horrible when wet or windy.

Spa - When I last went you could see lots, access all round, camp near the track, awesome atmosphere.

Next on my list to go to are Austria or Canada.

Thanks guys. Spa is looking popular although Abu Dabi sounds exciting
Abu Dhabi is good, great to watch as the sun goes down and guaranteed warm, while a 'dry' country, plenty of beer at the track and in hotels. We watched the climax of the 2014 season here, amazing tension and good rivalry and humour from the German fans in our stand.

Monza really good, great atmosphere but track is hard to walk around and if you drive, there is very little parking near the track. Stand at the lesmos was good and the Italian fans are something special.

Heard some good things about Hungary, easy to view track and was one of the cheapest tracks to go to.

Been to every F1 race that AUH has hosted since the start and tried just about every grandstand over that time... I would say either the North Grandstand or the South (with club access ideally) fantastic viewing from both those spots, I viewed the race from bang on the S/F line last year and wasn't anywhere near as impressed.

We were in the marina grandstand and you get to see the cars twice as the scream down the straight, then come back before they go back under the hotel bridge smile

Oh dear. If I hand known that about Milan I wouldn't have stayed there the 5 times I have while going to Monza. Silly me.

To be fair, in Monza you do get to see a great rack wink

That's why I married an Italian

It's not the greatest of cities though is it?

The Cathedral is nice, the night life was average.

The girls are pretty i'll give you that.

I was very surprised by Milan. Much more tired, grubby and run down than I expected, but Italian friends tell me that industry has basically collapsed around there and it needs serious regeneration. Monza town is a far nicer place to stay, but probably not if you'd like to smash the clubs every night.

As has been suggested Monza or Spa,however best value on the motor sport calendar has to be Le Mans.Be it a Jolly with the lads or your annual family holiday you.ll enjoy and it won't break the bank

You don't go to the race to watch it.
You got to experience everything TV doesn't/can't convey.

I was at Monaco this year.
Done on the cheap : camping in Sospel at 16Euros a night, train in from Menton for 5Euros.
70 euro general admission ticket, stood on the hill above Rascasse.
It was raining, people with umbrellas got shouted at. I didn't 'see' much of the cars really.
Opposite a big screen though.

But stood up high seeing literally the whole city spread out beneath you, the med, the crowd, the clouds rolling in over the top of the mountains and then the noise of the grid...
Great!

Plus if you drive down you get the Col de Turini, Route Napoleon etc etc, some beautiful beaches, great food...

Silverstone - could be a grey windy wash out, or you could get burnt to a cinder.

I'm doing Barcelona next year -again camping, its a 2 week holiday with a GP thrown in.
I'll definitely do SPA one year, and maybe if a group get together Dubai...

The actual race is a tiny percentage of the point to go to the 'classics' though IMO

In my view Barcelona is a great track for spectators and camping near the track;
Spa is a great track but the weather can be very variable;
Monza is good and fine for camping near the circuit;
Hockenheim is expensive and you can boil if you are seated in the sun; and
Budapest is good value but it can get very hot.

10 or 11 years ago I finally decided to tick the F1 race thing off my bucket list. Barcelona was my choice, getting grandstand seats at the end of the start-finish straight. It may not be seen as a top three circuit by many, but I chose it for the following reasons:

a) Cheap flights to Barcelona
b) Easy train ride to the circuit - no traffic jams, muddy car parks etc.
c) Good weather
d) If the Grand Prix turns out to be a boring procession (as was when we went), Barcelona is a fantastic place for a short holiday- there's something for everyone

Hungary. Budapest is beautiful, the people are nice, bronze grandstands at the track are dirt cheap, usually produces good racing, still has a foreign feel to it and the parties in the campsite are awesome....
