Suck that stomach in!
I always think to myself, 'silly boy', when I see pictures like this, then I have to look up how old he is.

I really, really want to like Lewis. I think he's one of the greatest drivers in modern times. But I cannot look at stuff like this and think anything other than - what a prat!
You know he drives cars as well, right?
Perhaps if you 'really really' want to like him you could have a look at that.

I think his use of the words "I think he's one of the greatest drivers in modern times" perhaps suggests he is aware that Lewis Hamilton drives cars.

I must admit a 32yr old shouldn't feel the need to do that.

Probably a tongue-in-cheek comment taken the wrong way.

The BBC are reporting that Hamilton has dropped his personal trainer in order to "challenge himself", normally I would just ignore this sort of news but I would have thought a personal trainer to be fairly important now. Is it a bit of a risk for him to be at this craic? At the front of the field any weakness could lead to a race loss now.

It certainly looks like an odd decision - fitness and nutrition in sport is now a massively specialised area. Logic would suggest that at elite sport level, it's not something you dabble in. Added to that is the fact that being a Formula 1 driver these days is all consuming in terms of driving, simulator time, time with engineers, sponsorship commitments and fitness, it's only logical that as a driver you would outsource to a personal trainer, manager, PA etc.

I imagine it means he will have many people helping him with different aspects of his training instead of a personal trainer.

Lol. Some people don't like it at all if other people have a different view of Lewis, do they?

Imagine it wasn't LH posing like that. Is it still cool? What about Scott Alexander? The hundreds of Guido's that do narcissistic selfies on the net?

"Well you're just being old, this is what kids do these days." Some say. He's 32. I'm 35. No-one I would ever run into would do silly posing like that, and if they did I'd probably not be their mate anymore - it's just gash.

I'm no fan boy but after years and years of pretty intense training I'm pretty sure he'll know what he's doing. He seems to take the training element the most seriously out of all drivers, not only through his desire to be the best but evidently out of vanity also.

I'm pretty sure he'll still have nutritionists and physio's so all he's probably really dropped is the guy stood next to him in the gym!

This isn't the first time Hamilton has gone out of his way to interact with fans.

All the fashion show / instatwit / music career criticisms aside there can be no doubt that he is great for the sport.

I've sat down to watch it today but practically no track time.

Lewis was certainly the only driver I saw who went to spend time with the fans. One of the idiots on sky started to complain that he brought his phone and was videoing them, then realized he was the only one to make any effort and wound his neck back in.

has anyone noticed Lewis's recent charm offensive with praising the team and the skilled engineers at every opportunity.......?

I actually think this comes across as quite genuine
