Ferrari have gone very aggressive on their tyre choices. It will be interesting to see if Rosberg can keep his 'one step at a time, try to win every race' mantra going. He can afford to be aggressive against Lewis into the first corner but cannot afford to get knocked out by someone else.

I would like to see Kimi win a race this year, maybe this could be the one if Merc have issues.

That's the $64 Million question - if the Mercs have issues, that will make things interesting.

There was talk of Mercedes giving the drivers different racing gloves to help with the clutch feel.
I find it difficult to believe that this will really make a difference.

Many years ago Martin Brundle did a piece on getting an F1 car off the line. The fastest way was to get the clutch out with the revs low, but Brundle stalled it showing how it was done, emphasizing how hard it was to get right. Slipping the clutch was second best, with wheelsman killing you.

I wonder if Lewis is now just trying to be too perfect as the Merc launch system is not quite as good as the one in the Ferrari and the Red Bull, when a bit more of a safe start is probably a better solution.

I know Ted Kravitz can be annoying, but that's a bit harsh.

I hope Hamilton wins and Nico finishes down the order a bit, just to keep the championship alive.

I'm hoping for a Lewis, Nico 1-2, in that order, for the next three races and then for Nico to fluff the start in Abu Dhabi and have to fight for it.

The increasing global lack of interest in motoring as a leisure activity. Caused by the rise of online gaming, social media, and media streaming services, which mean people physically meet up less so motoring isn't as important to how they present themselves to the outside world? I suspect that'll be a stretch for the new owners. But best of luck to them on that front.

Ask either of my two teenage children (neither are interested in motorsport, neither can drive yet) about what car they most want - they both want a bloody Tesla. It's the future. We're not.

2-years ago we had an 17-year old French lad come to stay with us. I wanted him to see the contents of the local McLaren garage. On the way there, we pass the, then, brand new Tesla offering and I could hardly drag him away.

Two years later, and the Tesla offering has folded rofl So, somewhere, there is a God out there.

Perhaps when it comes to being parted with their hard cash, your kids will have wised-up.

I suggest you organise a party for them at drive me in Stafford.

My teenage son and his 3 mates had a quick lesson in an EVO 8.

His mates drove a Gallardo, my son drove the Gallardo, Audi R8, Ferrari 430 and the Nissan GTR.

I did the Gallardo and GTR. My son wants the R8. He just likes fast cars and the general games GTA , Forza Horizon etc.

He has a passing interest in F1 as I took him to the Mercedes day in 2009 where he met Lewis briefly for an autograph and had his photo taken with Ant Davidson and also next to Lewis's 2008 car.
