I actually thought the opposite, seen far worse from him in the past.
That isn't saying much though is it?

Very irritating hearing Brundle moan about these random starts these days. He was one of the people arguing that the drivers should have more control of the start to make it more random ...

This interview with Hamilton is very cringe worthy... doesn't come across very well here.
Yeah, doesn't seem relaxed at all.... couldn't even be man enough to say yeah, you know what, Nico deserves the WC. I am no Nico fan, I find him too smarmy, too smug, too self satisfied. He's one of those guys you could punch in the face for eternity. And yes, he's had the lions share of the luck this year when it comes to reliability.

But, you know, thats how it is. No one wins at this level without some little bit of luck in the mix and also making your own luck. He's done the best he can with the hand he was dealt and I don't think people can be too critical of that. He's had a few choice moves that were not endearing, but on the whole he's driven faultless races, leading from the front. Not his fault no one was there to challenge him.

Hamilton, to go with his reliability issues, also knackered his chances all on his own this year with his garbage starts.

I read brundles feelings as more that it's the management of a tricky computer system sequence than anything we'd recognise as feeling a clutch.

That is fair enough, but it is the same for all the drivers. Surely if Rosberg (or the Red Bull and Ferrari drivers) are consistently getting better starts then it suggests they are doing a better job at managing the systems?

I just find things in F1 a bit bizarre at the moment. People call for X changes to create Y effects and then when Y happens they aren't happy about it.

fking Gordon Ramst

That tool just had to force his way into the camera view didn't he. Interrupting the view of the Olympic Skier Lindsey Vonn as well. No class.

In what sort of professional top flight sporting context do you expect one of the main title protagonists to say their opponent deserves to win it before the event? Do you really want to see that?

Personally I want to see a determined and gritty Hamilton doing his damndest.

Two things:

1. The US know how to do a national anthem flyover
2. Why didn't Lewis (plus I think one other driver I saw?) bother to take out the earphones for the national anthem?

I hate these direct over the grid low level fly pasts, if one of them went down it would be carnage.

She came across as pretty rude there but I don't think she is really a miserable bh....she is definitely an introverted kind of character and doesn't like talking to the media at all. Think the tennis equivalent of Kimi Raikkonen.... If Martin knew his tennis players he would have known not to bother!

I never knew there were so many notes in the US national anthem. Was the lad auditioning for the X-Factor?

he's not admitting defeat.... just acknowledging that if it were to happen, it would be deserved. Why can't that be said? Seems quite gentlemen-like to me. Just acknowledging his team mate has done a good job when asked about it. Instead he goes straight for the belittingling; he's only done well because of the reliability issue.

No, I'm a race engineer often found on the grid at a race circuit, I've also flown aircraft solo. You?
