The Official 2016 USA Grand Prix Thread **Spoilers**

Verstappen was a bit of a plonker today. Rosberg kind of did the minimum required but scoring four 2nd places isn't going to be the most spectacular way to win the championship is it?
I'm sure heads are going to roll at Ferrari before long. Their pace was rubbish and then they seemed to do everything possible to screw Raikkonen's race. 3 stopper with a slower car (never gonna work as you can't pass), failing to take advantage of the VSC conditions and stopping him only 2 laps after it ended and then finally they can't even screw on the damn wheel properly. Probably earned themselves a nice fine and a grid penalty for next weekend too.

There's been plenty of seasons where all the front runners would have liked two 5th places in a season. Teams go up, teams go down.
Agreed. McLaren have gone from an object of astonishment for all of the wrong reasons to a steadily climbing underdog. Williams and Ferrari are seemingly doing the opposite. I also think that Raikonnen has had a better season than Vettel form-wise and has given a great response to the nay-sayers of last year. I wonder, with the cars reportedly less physically demanding these days, how long the likes of Kimi & Fernando could eek out a career if they were so inclined.

I like this track and it seems to get good crowds. Anyone on here been, what are the costs like ?
Not been to the race, but Austin is a great city. It's Texas but not Texas - quite liberal (compared to the rest of Texas), lots of great restaurants and bars, people are very, very friendly. If you go, add a few days on to explore.glazbagun said:

They'll be far more demanding next year.Ironically they might be better for it as the new young guys won't have experienced that kind of loading before.

Gerard Butler turned slightly away from the mic when offered the shoe, and said "ahh fk".
After he asked Lewis if Ric was joking too I think. Some good scraps there I thought, those McLarens are finally starting to look quite fiesty.
WTF Ferrari?
And how (perhaps my ignorance showing) can Max misunderstand a box box box and pit confirm and no-one seem to know about it?
