If he maths says that Nico wins WDC if they both DNF, he will drive into Lewis.

Monaco reversing into the track incident tells me he is a cheating khunt who will do anything to win. He has no shame or class at all.

He would need to win, with LH retiring to take the championship this weekend.

Historically I think Lewis has hit Nico more often than the other way around, would certainly be interested in seeing a breakdown of coming-togethers. As for not having class, I rather liked that he asked to stay out at the end of 2014 when his car was going mental thanks to the Merc garage and he was trundling around in 14, and he was fairly modest about his chances of winning the WDC when people were pointing out than everyone with a six-win-streak went on to win the WDC.

I'll be happy if either win. Nico deserves something for his impressive turnaround and consistency since the USGP last year, and Lewis winning would make a good comeback story. I hope Kimi ends the season ahead of Vettel, and look forward to seeing who wins out of FI & Williams.

I never pay much attention to practice as an indicator for qualy/race, however this looks fairly close at the top.

Anyone care to speculate what's Massa's dad going to do with his weekends next year?

I'm struggling to think back to last year - but did some sources not predict unique issues due to the altitude of this race?

Cooling issues?
The effect of the DRS was reduced?
Monaco spec wings yet Monza type top speeds?
NA engines would be well down on power but the turbo units are unaffected?

I never think of Massa's dad as being someone whose life revolves around his son. I'm sure we saw John Button at far more races than Massa Snr (although that could be down to TV coverage).

I get the impression that Massa snr is all the races ??

Fair enough. I can't say I ever really noticed.

Anyway, even if he is then so what? I've long had a bucket list goal to attend every single GP in one season (it will never happen) and if he is indeed at every race then he is merely living my dream. Good on him.

Nice to see cars being close in pace at the front...but we've been here before. But certainly, if Rosberg is not on it, he may well find himself split by a couple of cars...could lose a chunk of points here. I'm going with Hamilton for pole.

He'll continue to be in the Williams garage on race weekend, much as now. His contract to provide fatherly support and advice runs for another two years yet.

Yup - first time I've watched a C4 coverage for a while and he's already getting on my tits.

Until Merc turn the engine modes up like every qualifying and we see the usual 0.5 sec+ gap wink

Nico won the last few races last year with Lewis P2.. with a race in hand Nico is in a very strong position. I think Lewis needs to force him into an error or get a bit rough - which is not really accepted these days.

Did I hear Lauda right? "Hamilton will hate it when he loses the championship"

Palmer to miss qualifying due to a cracked chassis and will start the race from the pit lane.
