To be honest Nico has approached this year with a high level of professionalism and sportsmanship that I feel Lewis is sometimes lacking in. Always been a Lewis fan but for me he's really let himself down this year. Pleased for Rosberg as he's been extremely consistent and consistency wins you titles!
He has been consistent, but what about forcing poor Lewis off the track when he didn't even attempt to turn his steering wheel!!!
That's a bit rich, being a Lewis fan, how many times has Lewis driven people off the track with his aggressive driving style. I just feel that's he's acted like a spoilt child at certain times of the season. Epic car, great driver but awful attitude!
'Awful' attitude... could you expand on this please. Thanks.

I just don't like his petulant attitude, he's absolutely loving it when he's winning as soon as it doesn't go his way he gets all sulky and gives one word answers in interviews. It's the attitude of a child that doesn't get his way. It's a shame as he's in a position where he could be such a huge inspiration to kids everywhere but I personally feel that this really lets him down.

I would agree with you, but, Hamilton keeps it within the rules, Rosberg has not done so on a number of occasions.

rofl well, ok then!

Would you then hazard a guess that other drivers are happy when they lose? Seriously? What about when Nico threw his cap at Lewis... or when Vettel threw a strop at being outclassed by Ricciardo... these are racing drivers... you do know that don't you? Perhaps you should watch grass bowls instead.

Lewis doesn't handle defeat any better or worse than any of the other drivers; he's not extraordinary in that department, in any way. As far as being an inspiration goes; I don't know about that; which of any of the grid are an inspiration to kids? In your humble opinion; serious question.

Righhhhttttt.....so like Alfonso getting in security against Hamilton at mclaren, or putting his towel down on a deck chair, vettel bhing and moaning about max, rosberg needing his dummy or blankie on several occasions, I can name dozens of drivers who act badly to being beaten....non of them like it, stop being so single minded and blind to that fact.

Which is how just about every other top drawer driver is.

Nope.

If theirs one thing evident and the thing the entire F1 paddock agrees on, it's race control's lack of consistency.

if its that evident, where is your evidence?

while most incidents look similar, they are usually anything but. race control have far more info than we will ever be privy to

So have the teams, and it's a statement made by multiple teams.

Besides; in a lot incidents it's quite easy to see who's at fault.

Im not doubting that as a F1 driver you want to win more than anything, but Lewis is the worst loser out there by a street mile. I can't believe you can't see that? Nico throwing his cap at Lewis was a direct result of Lewis tossing it to him with a huge smirk on his face. This is more Lewis being antagonistic than Nico being a bad loser. Imagine if anyone dares toss the cap to Lewis if he'd lost. I'm sorry I've been a Lewis fan but this year I've really gone off him because of his attitude. It's been getting progressively worse as he got older but this year it's too much for me. In response to your question what about Ricciardo and Button. Two huge inspirations. Great drivers, humble, fair, honest. Surely you'd want your kids to be a well rounded, well liked individual like that than the spoilt little upstart Lewis seems to be becoming!!

Post the video up of Hamilton's huge smirk please... you won't find it.

Aside from that; you won't address the other drivers I mentioned, like Rosberg fuming in press events week in / week out or Vettel shouting down the radio that Max is always in his way; these guys are wired to succeed and will hate losing; trust me; Hamilton is nowhere near the worst loser out there (none of them are good at it). I think you're a little out of your depth with this one. The bottom line is; who is your favourite driver; you're not going on a date with these guys so it's the driving that should do the talking... I guess that's why you 'were' a Hamilton fan in the first place? Or did you find him charming in some way?

If you were the owner of a F1 team, who would you want as one of your drivers?

Lewis or Nico?

I would take Lewis every time,as I think would most of the teams.

It's bizarre the things people claim are the reason they disliking Lewis, and then being part of the Alonso/Nico/Schumacher fan clubs.
It's fking baffling.

Obviously no one else is allowed an opinion on here as you'll just get shot down. At the end of the day, Lewis is British as am I. So I supported the guy. Once he turned into a jumped up little s**t and continuously sulked post race when things haven't quite gone his way I went off him. I'm not interested in watching a guy with a car that considerably quicker than 90% of the field moaning like a little b*tch everytime something doesn't work out. Maybe bang him in a HAAS for a year so we can see how he copes with not being in a Mercedes, that'll be a true test of his sportsmanship. With reference to Vettel. He's also an awful loser but he has nothing on the biggest princess on the grid, your boy Lewis

rofl Ok pal. Everyone's allowed an opinion... but if its bks; then everyone else has a right to say so. And, it is bks. Regarding Hamilton in a Haas. He's not in one because his skill and talent is such that it'd never happen.

The clip they show on SkyF1 was edited to show only Nico flinging it back. I also used to be a big Lewis fan but he does seem to have the attitude of a spoilt child these days.

I can't say whether or not there was a smirk (Lewis wasn't facing the camera) but the way he threw the cap to Nico had a very obvious "here you go loser" overtone to it and that's why Nico threw it back; can't imagine there were many people watching who didn't detect that but if you're one of them you're probably in a relatively small and exclusive club.....

I'd say the opposite I'm afraid. Nico was supposed to have his cap on and Lewis threw it over, with no malice at all... I think it's a touch soft to think it was anything more than that.

I know what you mean. Problem is I still think of him as a young lad, but he's not now. He's a fantastic driver. But I am going off him as a person. I thought he conducted himself very poorly this year in the press conference at the Japanese grand prix.

Hamilton was asked by SKY about the cap incident...

"I picked up the three caps and mine was at the back, the one with No 1 on the side, so I gave one to Sebastian (Vettel, who was third) and one to Nico (who was second)," Hamilton explained.

"I said, 'Here you go mate', and then it came back at me. I can understand in many respects how it is. It was tough.

"He was disappointed with himself for making a crucial mistake. I guess that, when you come in after the race and are disappointed, the emotions are sometimes unbearable. I don’t take anything from it. I’ve seen Nico in lots of different lights over the years.

"So the hat came past me and I was like, 'No problem'. I’m completely oblivious to it."

Anyway, I'm getting dragged to the gutter with this back and forth; discussing driver personalities. Is Lewis who I'd choose to have a drink with down my local pub; no, he isn't... is he a talent that, on track, is great to watch; yes he is. Do some 'fans' get a little too into the off track antics; I'm afraid they do.
