Is Max Verstappen as good as Senna
Discussion
Most overtakes of the year award goes to Max, according to Pirelli. 78 passes in the season. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/127475...

Yaris vs Fiesta vs Hyundai something vs Polo?
I'll give it a miss.
You're missing out mate.
Still good fun.
Re: Verstappen
He made a lot of passes, but then again elements of misadventure lead him to the back a bit more often than he'd like.
People like Vestappen as he is spectacular and fears nothing - he's a street fighter not a chess player. And yes he is very inexperienced.
I am not knock Vestappen - champion material no doubt - but I think to say he's a shoe in for 2017 is to do a disservice to Ricciardo.
Verstappen has rough edges to polish up, but DR is ready now....even in isolation at Red Bull, he out qualified and out scored Max.
In reality without team cock ups he'd have won 3 and Verstappen would still be waiting (if the Mercedes hadn't driven into each other that'd be 2 of course.
If the new Renault unit be anywhere near parity - I'd say DR's time will come next

At the moment, no he isn't. Ricciardo beat him over the races they were team mates.
Brazil was superb. But he was in a great car, on the right tyres at the right time.
Senna was even more impressive, in a relatively poor car (Toleman) around Monaco.
Jumping the gun to even compare realistically at this point.

Also note that in Brazil he was not closing on Hamilton, who managed to avoid all the sideways moments that Verstappen had.
