Evening all,

We will likely be going to se the F1 in Singapore next year (our first race), there's a wide range of ticket types available - seemingly from the proper F1 site and then the Singapore F1 site ... With prices looking to be cheaper on the latter.

We will be booking a hotel room separately.

Not really wanting to go mega bucks on Paddock stuff, and probably wanting to keep the cost of a pair of tickets to sub £1k, has anyone been before that would be happy to give some advice (where to buy tickets, which tickets blah blah?) There seem to be about 20 different options!

If all goes to plan we'd be in SP from late on the Thursday until the Monday, so could do a proper full weekend of it.

Thanks

JML

There is a thread somewhere for the 2016 race, have a look at that first.
I have been for the last 5 years and also go to SG for work a couple of times a year.Need to run for a plane now but pm me if you need more info about the race or hotels, getting around etc after reading the other thread.

Not always the best race but a fantastic place to visit IMHO.

Ps if you are going from uk , you can somtimes get good flight deals via Kuala lumpur.i got BA premium econ. for the same cost as direct economy and its only a 1hr stopover

Edit
Buy the tickets from the singapore f1 site. You can collect them in the collection centre @ Swissotel , very well organised.

Agree with getting tickets from Singapore site direct. Usually offer very good deals and we managed to get a package which included seat in a different stand each day. If I remember correctly this also included a ride on the Singapore eye for free on the sat as the tickets included entrance to that particular area.

The metro is very good and we ended up about a 15 min ride from the circuit.

Book a suite in The Fullerton overlooking the circuit. That way you don't need tickets or grandstand seats and can also watch from the terrace above Forlino. We did that in 2010. Brilliant!

Thanks all.

The change to the race calendar warranted another meeting with the travel bod, they're not our biggest fans hehe

JML - will pm you at some point in the next week or so, just booking a few other things at the mo (not that the flights & accommodation are locked in).
