I wonder how many pages of going round and round in circles we're going to achieve here?
many MANY circles :-p...I'm at work, bored and only want people to answer a simple question they they can't face to answer...I've got a hockey match tonight at 5 so they've only got to hold out until the. :-pDisastrous said:
The one that wins the championship.
Rosberg, for the avoidance of doubt.
That didn't answer the question...driver a or driver b....now come on, play fair, I've answered all your questions, said that rosberg deserved the championship...you do your part and answer my question correctly...go on, I know you can do it :-)Rosberg, for the avoidance of doubt.

Why does all this matter SO MUCH to some people on here?
It's all rather sad.
Agreed. Quite pathetic. The championship is over and that's that. It's all rather sad.

Driver B, obviously, as he won. To finish first, first you have to finish.
Right.....so the slower driver is the best driver because his mechanic did a better job....so you realise how stupid you sound? The thing is, who is "the best" can only ever be an opinion in F1.
The team bosses have their opinions, but that is all they are - opinions.
Was Vettel the best when he was in the Rud Bull? Better than Hamilton? Is he still the best?
I think Ricciardo is very, very good, but until he is in a competitive car we will not know for sure.
Verstappen is very fast, but makes mistakes - is he a better driver than someone fractionally slower, but a consistant finisher?
There are drivers who are better at overtaking than others.
There are drivers who are better at qualifying than others.
There are even very quick drivers who are relatively crap at getting off the start line cleanly .
So - it is a fact that Hamilton was voted best by team principals. It is an opinion that he was the best this year.

Who won the world championship?
Christ we are stuck in a loop...Rosberg, and he deserved it, but that doesn't make him the best driver...by quite a margin really....Hamilton, vettel, alonso are all better drivers
The championship exists to set aside all the nonsense opinions on who's best. You win a world championship, you're best that year. You came out on top once everything else was taken into account and that's that. Done. Finished.
Can we move on to thinking about 2017? Lewis may prove to be the best so if I were you, I'd concentrate on that.

but yes let's move on...hope nico has a happy retirement (can't fault him the lucky bugger!) and Lewis goes on to demolish everyone next year...although I think red bull will have a few surprises up their sleeves and create a very close championship
My tip for next years champion...Max

I would love Max to be the best next year too but I would bet on Hamilton. He looks unlikely to have a teammate who will trouble him next year so assuming Merc keep their game up, it's his to lose.
