I had to laugh at Massa stating he would not have come out of his 5 minute retirement to another team unless it was Williams. biggrin
yeah exactly what a dik!!!!

sooo massa merc want u ? oh noooo I lovvveee Williams I stay here
Whilst I accept that a driver at that level has a ruthless competitive urge and primarily wants a quick car (Some British post war drivers drove for German teams amidst a fair bit of opposition, which proves that point!), surely by the time you get to Massa's age and experience, how you fit into a team matters as well? Not just socially, but also your ways of working etc. Claire W and Massa always seemed to get on very well, to the cameras at least. You may also like the house you rent or own near their HQ etc etc.

Massa was never in the running for the Mercedes drive, so it's a moot point. The only choice he had to make was between Williams or retirement.
