I think it's a shame that if you took the paint off them all you wouldn't be able to tell which one is which, so strick are the rules.

Not like it used to be, before the dawn of computers and designers had to use their own brains...

Yes, I know, Rose tinted specs, etc. But they were different.
True, but it also created bigger gaps front to back (cars being lapped multiple times, etc) - do we want close racing or not?
It's no different now. You get the odd close race but usually it's between team mates. And how many times did Manor get lapped last year?

Helpful pit crew member with interesting head gear....
In the high pressure environment of the pit lane it lets others around him, know where he's looking...?

There isn't that much hot air coming out of that hole near the top of Kimi though...

Have you noticed the hole that runs most of the length of their shark-fin?

No it doesn't - it looks like a can of Red Bull cola. (better than before though, obviously)
I think the 'Simply COLA by Red Bull' plastered on the rear wing plates might explain that.......

Regarding all these bigger cars. Are there any particularly tight pit lanes still in F1? Just thinking these cars are longer and wider (plus wider tyres) the pit crew when changing tyres will have to stand further apart and the outside crew will be further out. This could make mass pit stops under a safety flag tricky especially if they are quite tight already nose to tail in the pits, with possible crew/tyre clipping incidents as they exit their box and try to get around the crew in front.

Surely that cube of a GoPro causes a bit of unwanted wake, specially when they're making aero adjustments just behind it?

But weren't the fins banned a few years ago so why have they returned, just because they clean the air over the new lower wing isn't the answer people are asking for because if fins are banned then they're banned, I can only only assume they've been unbanned
Fins weren't banned, but a ban was introduced on bodywork connecting to the rear wing. This was done to outlaw the F-duct.

With no connection to the rear wing, there is now a fin tip, which generates a vortex, sitting right in front of the rear wing, upsetting flow over it.

Now that the wings are lower, the vortex coming off the fin tip doesn't interfere with the rear wing, so fins have reappeared.
