COngratulations to Merc on the 2017 WDC/WCC, everyone else - try again next year.
Yep. Lewis didn't really turn up for pre season testing, if he was an actor you'd say he 'phoned it in', so we could only base Ferrari's performance on Bottas, who is slower than Lewis, obvioulsy. Add to that Merc were sandbagging and Lewis wants to make out Ferrari are fastest to rile Vettel and make Lewis look like his job is harder...

Worst bit is and i have said all along, that without the 'Nico v's Lewis' thing we have no real battle up front. So we have Lewis showboating to WDC number 4.
Lewis and Bottas have no previous to manufacture into a battle, so it will be like any driver partnership with a clear No1.
I don't care if F1 is dull, in fact i never really find it dull as i don't watch F1 for the same excitement I get already from say BTCC or MotoGP.

Plenty of Motorsport both 4 and 2 wheeled out there to not need a one stop shop. F1 is what it is.

Bottas is a better driver IMO than Nico. Give him at least a race or two to get use to the new Mercedes.

Lewis has been with the team for five years so he bound to be fast off the mark.

Yes Lewis is looking very fast but just lets give it time.

I will be very interested to watch Moto Gp this weekend biggrin

Those of us saying Lewis has his 4th WDC in the bag, and Williams are slower than expected, McLaren fighting it out with Sauber for the wooden spoon and Renault looking like a bag of horse poo (That'll be mostly down to Palmer and his(lack of)talent).

How much of the above will we say on Sunday.."Wow! Never saw that coming!" or "Yep, just as we thought!"?

I watched the MotoGP practice yesterday and it alone was exciting enough, the commentary team deserve some of the praise for that, but crikey what a sport, I simply adore it. All F1 needs to be is F1 for for me. It'll never ever be MotoGP or BTCC and nor does it need to be.

It is a beautiful thing to see a rider have to use a marshalls moped to get back to the pits. Hoping off a MotoGP bike and then riding a moped is something incredible to see.

I watched the MotoGP practice too, it was dull as dishwater.

MotoGP is great for racing, but practice, Yawnnnnn

Jumping onto a moped is incredible? Are you mental?

I thought the cars looked a bit flat and wide, as if someone has jumped on them like Mario. Saying that, I was watching on a stream. Here is a screenshot from my phone of what it looks like:

You can clearly see the Sauber on the right. This was onboard from Hamilton's car.
but, but, but... that's a Williams hehe
Here you go;

I spent far too many hours in the early ninties playing 'Formula One Grand Prix' on my super-slow 386SX, although it didn't even have the computing power to enable the tarmac rendering! Frustratingly (or not) you could always win with a backmarker car as there was no performance cap, at least Lotus won loads on my PC! The pedant in me thinks that's a Lotus type 101 or 102 on the cover.

How was it dull? It was ace two rookies up the sharp end and Loris Baz finding 2 secs from nowhere suddenly on the Ducati, It was awesome. But, but..you didn't really watch it did you...?
Oh and if Lewis's car broke down and he rushed to a marshall and rode back on his moped to the pits like a scolded cat, i'm sure his fans would be creaming themselves, you joyless cretin.

Every year we get one of these guys, every year. What happened to ash74 or whatever he was called? Last time I saw him he was trolling the strictly come dancing thread...

All the talk is about possibly catching Bottas. Pretty negative in the interviews and press conference really.
What do you mean I'm not sure what you are saying?

IMO Bottas is going to be under huge pressure over the first 5 or 6 races this year because he is only on a 1 year deal with Vettel and Alonso both out of contract for 2018. So unless Bottas is getting consistently close to Hamilton within a few races Mercedes are going to be starting negotiations to replace him already.... and of course if that happens he would be damaged goods and the likes of Ferrari would probably lose interest.
Sorry, I meant all the others are talking about possibly catching Bottas. They're not even considering catching Hamilton.

Last season Marc Marquez, who was world champion even though it was pretty much agreed by all he wasn't on the best machine (imagine that!) Nicked a moped and sped back to the pits, Cal did the same yesterday... I have never seen an F1 driver do such a thing, I as did many found it pretty funny.
If all you watch is F1 then i can't really expect you to say anything good ever about something non F1. But I was responding to another poster.

Glad PH still is happy for posters to label people as having mental health issues though, I mean we are still in the 70's on PH aren't we.

The reason it doesn't happen often is that there are no spare cars in F1.

In the days of T-cars, you would often see drivers running back to the pits, or using any form of transport that they could find in order to make the restart. Whilst it was good fun, I'm not sure that the F1 show really needs it.

Still not as funny as Dani Kivyat riding a bicycle back to the pits after crashing last year.

That was a great game, especially when the editor was released, on D tyres you could take the 2nd chicane at Hockenheim at 190mph LOL

As someone said the new graphics showing sectors and timing points within are good.

I think the cars look quite good, sounds seems better too.

I see Palmer is carrying on where he left off...

Looking forwards to qualifying.

Ahhh Microprose. I used to love their games. I remember getting Gunship 2000 after reading the huge manual I could've probably flown the real thing.
