It's no surprise, I'd like to see Kimi win.

For me here and Mexico a DNF & second for Lewis with Seb winning both.
Only because i am at Interlagos in November and it' all about ME.

I'd like that too but it'll never happen- Hamilton to dominate, Ferrari racing against Red Bull.

That's probably why Ant and Dec put an H in Rhumble in their song, then.

Little known fact, that song was about rhubarb crumble, 'rhumble' being a contraction of same.

Was supposed to be going, will be in Nashville instead, nothing against Nashville, but it’s not Austin...
Nashville is fun!

Got spare tickets?!?!
Sorry, we couldn’t get accommodation, so didn’t actually book tickets, was supposed to be a last minute thing, it’s now the 2nd time the trip has not come off, so will be planning it way earlier next time.
I am sure Nashville will be fun, just would have preferred a GP instead.

It's a mega 1 day drive or relaxed 2 day for us. Took the decision not to go again this year...kinda regretting it now!

A Mercedes 1-2 will seal the WDC for Hamilton.
Yep - should be an easy 1-2 for Germany
I don’t think of the Mercedes F1 team as German. The engines are designed and built not far from where I live. The team HQ is a short drive down the A43. The Germans just pay for everything.

I agree.

Until they switch the national anthem from German to British, Merc F1 will be portrayed as German.

Currently it's factually inaccurate and somewhat misleading to the audience.

They would need to switch the racing licence to a GB/UK one.

Lets be fair, employment "social" costs and R & D tax credits (and other associated benefits) in the UK are amongst the fairest (and most attractive) in the world, if your going to invest very large sums of money (9 figs +) doing it here (uk) with less social costs, and getting back additional R & D tax credits is advantageous.

Alain Prost remarked on the podcast a few weeks ago that his Liger team (french based) and Mclaren (uk based) had roughly the same budget, but Mclaren could fund 600 employees rather than 200 employees, such were the state employment contributions.

It a good reason why most of the teams are actually (or have operations) in the UK, (on top of having world class engineers too)!

The financial benefits are clear to all.

But if they are trading as a new British entity, which they are, Mercedes really need to stop drawing on the whole Silver Arrows heritage pre WWII thing.

They are currently having their cake and eating it.

Either be German, or be British, and ditch the phoney national anthem.

At this rate Ferrari will have the Chinese national anthem - but at least the cars are built in Italy !

According to the Jo Saward Missed Apex podcast, they won't be doing that again this year because it disturbs the drivers' pre-race toilet routines.
