He's improved a lot this season. His wheel-to-wheel skills are impressive. I hope that Renault can produce something suitable for his talents next season. He's been the 'one-to-watch' for a long time though and I think his chances at the WDC have passed.
I remember the excitement over his driving in the early days but I agree can't see him taking a WDC, I saw him in an interview and he reckons his size has seriously disadvantaged him over others.

Be interesting to see if Bottas can up his game now, knowing that we won't be asked to move over if he is in a winning position.
He's had all season to up his game and hasn't done it yet. Unless he's handed a win by Lewis now he won't do it on pace.
yes From Hat-Gate forward we saw Rosberg with the bit between his teeth as Lewis seemed to cruise by comparison. I don't think I've ever seen that from Bottas except maybe in his 2014 season battles with Raikkonen. Russia and maybe Baku were the only times I think Bottas had the edge.
I think too much is made of the 2nd drivers being held back on this forum. The 2nd drivers are slower, if they weren't they would be 1st drivers - it's as simple as that.

Looks decidedly wet according to the weather with a chance of thunderstorms forecast for Saturday and sunda. If its wet I can see a Merc 1-2 unless Ferrari/Red bull have managed to solve their lack of wet weather pace.
Hulk may get a podium?
And pigs might fly

That disadvantage should practically disappear from 2019.

I have always rated Hulk and I really hope that his career will be rejuvenated next season. It's hard to see where his chance of podiums and race wins is going to come from but I think he deserves that at least.

I don't think Ricciardo is going to embarrass him.

Not 'Live on Channel 4', highlights only.

For those who don't subscribe to SkyF1, the race (not practice or qualifying) is live on Sky1.
Their caption (sorry), should say broadcasting on C4!

Come on Kimi.
I honestly believe Kimi could win this.

Hamilton will turn up and merely coast around all weekend.

Bottas will make everybody wonder how he got the seat in the first place.

Vettel will misjudge an overtake and wipe himself out.

Verstappen's race will self-implode.

Danny Ric's car will fail on the final lap, within sight of the finish line, as he was about to win it.

winkwink But please not Pirelli even in jest as I am close to blagging a lift. I am in the hotel with the Pirelli ppl. They have been back and forth to the circuit all week. They say there are police along the whole route and they are not putting permits anythings to identify the cars until they arrive at the circuit this year.

It is going to be one of the interesting battles next season. At least I hope so.
