Using an easel you say? Newey is truely the Picasso of F1.
He famouisly has a very large drawing board. You can draw a whole car on it at 1:1.

(ETA, now I think about it, it might be Gordon Murray I'm thinking of)

A drawing board certainly makes more sense than an easel (unless he likes to do his designs with a paint brush).

Interesting comment from Andrew Benson in the chequered flag podcast. He suggested that there seems to be some kind of underlying substance behind recent speculation that Newey could leave Red Bull.

I've read rumours of him going to Aston, not Ferrari.

What if Hamilton has "done an Alonso", and Newey is going to leave Red Bull for Mercedes? hehe

Yes, that appears to be a cheque book waving exersize by Stroll... however I also heard that at his stage in life / family etc.. staying in the UK is much more attractive than having to move to Italy.

Exactly, and that was before the internet was widely used. Would AN really need to be onsite at Maranello full time? No

IIRC, I think it might have been in his book, a big reason, if not the main reason he previously turned down Ferrari was that he didn't want to move his young children to Italy. They're all grown ups now.

No detail at all but they are usually less likely than the clickbait sites to state things like this without being fairly sure --> https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/articles/cmm3v9ny78eo

I wonder what his notice period is and how much he's started doing to drive next year's car (or was he looking beyond that?)

Probably, but best of all would be if he went back to Williams smile
