yes Some commentators including Palmer are falling over themselves trying to excuse the blatant brake test. “He didn’t mean it” they say, or GR fell off the road by himself and, if that doesn’t convince us, “what about when xxx did it” or when he used to brake test as a part of his skill. All BS of course. If Max, LH, SV or practically anyone else did that the same commentators will be baying for blood.
Not the same league / speeds but under SC LH regularly backs the pack up in an abrupt manner - almost akin to brake testing - just before he bolts off. Caused a number of incidents and upset a load of drivers in the past such as 2007 Japanese GP and most famously in Azerbaijan when it caught out Vettel, infuriated proceeded to barge into Hamilton.

Completely different.
For which Vettel apologised for and admitted he got it wrong. Vettel was also involved in all that argy bargy with the Red Bulls, and his rant at Charlie Whiting, remember?

I never fully warmed to SV so I remember it very well unlike some who claim Vettel mellowed / matured post RBR when clearly he hasn't.
