Stroll driving up the back of Ricciardo and trying to blame Ricciardo for it is just embarrassing.

They're not that's the problem, they are incredibly fast, excluding the Redbulls they are very closely matched, which means it can all come down to qualifying positions
They are crazy fast, but completely viscerally underwhelming. They appear sluggish and clumsy visually and sound terrible.

Well, based on the Alonso-Russell precedent, it’s entirely Ricciardo’s fault fior slowing down in front of Stroll. rolleyes

They're heavy, sound bad, are way too wide/long...

The 2022 aero regs worked, just need it in a (much) smaller package with a better sounding engine, smaller tyres that aren't so susceptible to overheating and we're getting there.

Watching highlights on C4 now. Showing a few interviews on the track. A Leclerc banner had his name as L'Eclair. Is that a nickname I didn't know or did somebody mess their spelling up? hehe

Just watched the race in full. Bit of an odd one, plenty of actual wheel to wheel racing which was great, but the race was disrupted by the bizarre drawn out flags - it's as if race control had popped out and left the cleaner in charge. Or let Masi back in..

Decent showing from LH to get back up the order after his idiot mistake in quali. Very, very decent from Lando today.

DR was having his first reasonable weekend in ages, actually on merit ahead of Yuki - and then his special brand of terrible luck caught up with him...

Alpine fined €10,000* for the unsafe pit stop of Gasly, which led to a team member being knocked off his feet.

https://www.fia.com/sites/default/files/decision-d...

The driver was given a green light despite only having three wheels attached to the car, so the team gets a fine for allowing one of their mechanics to be placed in danger.

*Good to see meaningful fines for offences such as this. €10k buys a lot of Margaux for the FIA annual dinner.

I have some wallpaper to strip. Very tempted to ditch this and get an early start.
Yes, I started watching the highlights on C4 and quickly decided washing/polishing/waxing the car would be a better use of my time.

Best race this year. Enjoyed Nico's commentary, he doesn't mince his words and says it how it is.

Crofty: new tyres are working out great for Alonso

Nico: was a rubbish decision to go on the softs to start with, what were they thinking

Danny Ricc has got a 3 place penalty for the next race and 2 points because as he was rammed, Hulk passed him so he then retook his rightful position was was deemed to be an overtake under SC conditions.

Unbelievable for this to effectively be more severely sanctioned than that worthless prick Stroll.

Well done Norris. Intelligent driving and great tactics by McLaren (but then don't se always say that).

Poor by Perez.
Lando was stellar again. More worrying for McLaren is how quickly Lando dropped Piastri in the opening 18 laps (before he had any damage). His race pace was way off yet again.

Max untouchable, Perez poor. Good recovery drive from Lewis.

Has AM given any reason for the decision to opt for soft tyres? To be fair, suddenly going soft can't be that unusual for a bloke his age.

Wow... Even by F1 standards that's fked up.

He'd just been driven into whilst trying his very best to avoid contact with the car in front, and his car was mortally wounded as a result, putting him out of the race. Against that sequence of events the overtake is irrelevant, it really could have just been ignored.
