Sunday Service 13/04: Morgan factory

In a Sunday Service first we're off to the Malvern Hills....

The lovely people at the Morgan Motor Company factory, based in Malvern, have kindly invited us along for our very first Sunday Service with them, taking place on Sunday (no surprises there) April 13. The usual Sunday Service rules apply: park up, buy breakfast rolls and a have a chat with like-minded folk. In addition you can take part in a tour of their factory where you'll see these famous cars being built and, as if that wasn't enough, you'll also be able to book passenger rides too*.

See Morgans being made the old fashioned way
The Morgan Motor Company Ltd was established by H.F.S. Morgan in 1909 when he designed the first Morgan three-wheeler, and the first four-wheeled Morgan was produced in 1936. The Aero 8 was launched in 2000, which was a major achievement for such a small company, and was developed to take the marque into the 21st century. Since its launch, the Aero Range has continued to evolve and now consists of the Aero SuperSports and its fixed head sibling the Aero Coupe. In 2011 they re-launched the Morgan 3 Wheeler, a modern interpretation of the classic design. Despite all the new stuff the 'classic' range of Morgan cars continues with engine sizes ranging from 1,600cc to 4,800cc and all of these cars will be available to view on the day.

*The passenger rides on offer will be an enjoyable experience lasting approximately 15 minutes through the Malvern Hills for a charitable donation of just £10 to the Marfan Trust (Morgan's charity of choice) and will be on a first come first served basis.

The address for your navigation is:

Morgan Motor Company
Pickersleigh Road
Malvern
Worcestershire
WR14 2LL

Spaces are limited to just 300 so make sure you sign up here ASAP to secure your place, no name on the list means no entry. Gates open at 09.00 and will close at 13.00

Thanks again to Morgan for having us and we look forward to seeing you there.

In. hopefully turn up with my Dad. That place is right up his street.

It will be on the proviso that we get enough of the Ultima done the three days before though, if not I'll have to take my name off the list.

Thanks PH, you really do spoil us with great venues for the Sunday Services. This promises to be another corker.

I really hope a) I can get a passenger ride and b) it's in a 3-wheeler, a car engraved on my bucket list.

WOO!

Signed up for my first Sunday Service. What's the baptism ritual then? (and no i'm not buying tea and bacon rolls for everyone!)

Also, I shouldn't have read Marc H's note on the sign up.... So tempted to take that GT86 off his hands wink. Will you take a bacon butty for it Marc?

Glad I spotted this, supposed to be in Nottingham that weekend but I can feel a cancellation coming on. Will remove myself ASAP if my prior commitment is unmovable.

D'oh, thank you, we were milling around frown The thing with Silverstone is they pretty much ran it themselves but at Morgan we will be on the gate.

Have added my name, but will be arriving on a M/cycle.
If I can get the bike in without registering, I'll remove myself.
