On behalf of Sue and Alex who did the food for the event, I would like to thank you all for your custom.
Massive apologies for the queues, we didn't know what to expect from the day, so was very much a stab in the dark. If we have the opportunity to join you again we will bring another stall and more staff. Sue and Alex started their business very recently and are appreciative of all feedback.
From what I can see, the food was up to scratch. Just need to get the numbers right for next time smile

From my experience it looked like a great day. Hopefully next time I can join in from the other side of the stall!

Thanks again
In which case let me offer mine, so called Gourmet burger stalls are rarely that and I usually come away feeling short changed. The prices were on a par with what is normally charged by these places.

the food however was much, much, better on Sunday. I couldn't fault the bread or the meat (so good I had 2) and whilst not eating anything vaguely looking green or tomato like, looking at those who did they ended up with a humungous burger :-)

Hopefully they are doing the food for the next one
I'd have to agree. The wait was long but we had a chat while eating mentioning how good it was and how the price wasn't bad!

Gutted I didn't quite make it. Got to within 5 miles of the event when the expansion tank split in half dropping my coolant all over the M1. If you saw a silver BMW with the bonnet up in the hard shoulder, that was me. The photos show what a good turn out it was so hope fully there will be another in this neck of the woods.
Passed you around 10am I think it was, if knew would of stopped to see if could of assisted.

The food was excellent, and we'll worth the wait. My daughter didn't turn her nose up at the burger, which is a win in my book!

Not to worry, thanks anyway. The tank had a 6 inch split right through it so it wasn't repairable on the roadside. Came home on a flat bed

What an excellent morning guys, very impressed.
My mate and I were dubious as to what to expect but the PH staff were great, people in general were good and knowledgeable, the event was excellently organised (save for a need for more food stands) and the cars on show were an excellent variety of good examples.
Agree that a Pistonhead merchandise stand would be a winner and completely disagree that Autoglym were in the wrong place. I bought some product so they were easy enough to find!
I'll definitely be a regular attender with the Phoenix dream machine from now on!

Agreed with all of this, the food was excellent and it was nice to have soft drinks at a reasonable price.

All in all I thought it was a great Sunday service although it lacked some of the activity of other events that are held at venues smile

Whilst this SS worked well and thanks to the organisers, it might not have been the success it was if it had been raining. At least at some of the venues there is indoor cover - MB World, Renault at Watford, etc. I reckon the Caterham tent would have become very crowded if it had rained!!

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that attended and showed of their cars. What a morning! Some absolutely beautiful cars on show. This was first visit to a Sunday Service and it blew all my expectations, I enjoyed chatting to some of you.

I have managed to upload some photos taken on Sony Z1 mobile, got to say I am rather impressed with the quality, first time I have properly used it. I am sure there's a few BMW's or TVR's amongst them, so enjoy them, if anyone wants them emailed directly to them I am happy to do so.

Already looking forward to the next one, see you all there.

Nice pics Ed. At least someone got a pic of my RB5. Somewhat overshadowed by the lovely SLS next to me and perhaps not in many pics due to the boggo Focus on the other side detracting from any possibility of a sporty pic lineup smile

My first Sunday service - I got coffee but couldn't do the time for food.

The quality of the cars was a real surprise - highlights for me were Laferrari, Ferrari Daytona, the Ford Escort, that mint Mini and yes that Maxi1750!

Looking forward to more

Just rifling through the pockets of my hood and I remembered I found a blue tooth earpiece today in the grass by the Noble on the top row. I had every intention of handing it in but the smell of meat completely removed it from my mind.

If it's yours, let me know who you are and I'll pop it in the post to you.
Anyone?

Re. the Rocket. It was lovely. Really nice bloke who owns it who gave up most of his morning answering questions about it. Top man. Uses it plenty, too, apparently.

More importantly, who was second?
Just following up from my previous post, its the first time at one of these events and was surprised at the diversity of vehicles there. Had a good wander round and tried my hand at the wheel change challenge with another chap and came second overall on the wheel change challenge. 28.89 seconds i think we managed. What was the fastest time?
Ive uploaded a few pics from the event to flickr too https://flic.kr/s/aHsk2Sn3ST
