Re. the Rocket. It was lovely. Really nice bloke who owns it who gave up most of his morning answering questions about it. Top man. Uses it plenty, too, apparently.
Good to hear, I saw one a few years ago filming at cambridge airport very early one morning, rear seat removed iirc.Edited by ferrisbueller on Monday 1st September 21:49

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that attended and showed of their cars. What a morning! Some absolutely beautiful cars on show. This was first visit to a Sunday Service and it blew all my expectations, I enjoyed chatting to some of you.
I have managed to upload some photos taken on Sony Z1 mobile, got to say I am rather impressed with the quality, first time I have properly used it. I am sure there's a few BMW's or TVR's amongst them, so enjoy them, if anyone wants them emailed directly to them I am happy to do so.

Already looking forward to the next one, see you all there.

Thanks for that, great photos. You even got one of my mr2, which i'm grateful for as i've not had a decent camera since I bought it! I like the G+ format too, works really well.Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that attended and showed of their cars. What a morning! Some absolutely beautiful cars on show. Nice, those hand guns weren't the easiest to switch directions in with gloves on though.Mermaid said:

Who owned the rocket does anyone know, it looked like a nice example :-)
Hi yes that was me, thanks for that, it is probably one of the most used Rockets anywhere but I'm now trying to tidy it up a bit, it was basically its first outing this year since the engine dropped a valve, but a good opportunity to run it in a bit and meet some nice like minded people. Great selection of cars I thought, old and new. TheRocket said:

It's a lovely thing; my 10yo daughter was truly enamoured with it. It was my first chance to look around one, and I was surprised to see a second seat!

I've never owned a car that makes people smile as much, I think children really appreciate/relate to it as the toy it is. When they first built the cars they had for a while the idea of delivering them in a massive cardboard box with a plastic side as per matchbox.... I wish they had. My daughter was impressed with the helmet decor as well!
My sons Valentino Rossi replica 'The Donkey' helmet, it looked great when Rossi wore it at the next race after crashing off and calling himself a Donkey, I may have to invest in one myself.

Can one still buy a new Rocket? What happened to the Light Car Company?
In theory yes they are still built to order by Rocket R&D www.rocket-car.co.uk, the Light Car Company is no longer involved in building them to my knowledge and its a bit of a long, and now old story about how it all changed. As to how easy it is to get one built, or the price ? that's a difficult question. A couple of used cars were also sold through Duncan Hamilton this year also, but being less than 50 ever made they don't seem to come to market very often. There are a few other owners on the forum including Flemke and the pop up on the infamous Flemke McLaren F1 thread now and again. Cyder said:
My first visit to a SS and not too far to travel down the A6 in the mx5.
Joined an impromptu convoy with an Atom and Westfield on the way down for the last couple of miles
Ah, that was you in the green MX5 behind us down that little windy lane. Looked bigger on Google Maps!Joined an impromptu convoy with an Atom and Westfield on the way down for the last couple of miles
You were following me in my Westie and my best mate in his Atom. We'd just driven down the A6 from Bedford - a miserable, speed-camera infested journey that decanted us into the bowels of Luton. Yuck. We went back down the A505, through Hitchen & up the A600. Much nicer.
Bit late, but finally uploaded my photos from the day.
