After waiting for 2 and a half hours to get our 1 day old car working. We made it to Silverstone at about 11:40. So sadly missed the PistonHeads tickets. Very Kindly the ladies from Ferrari gave us a pair as I think they felt sorry for us.

Was gutted we could not be at Silverstone for 9 have been looking forward to this SS.

Still got to park and look around the SS car park and enjoy the racing. So thanks to every one involved for making a great event and a big thank you to the lovely ladies at Ferrari for getting us some tickets.

Many thanks to all involved! Missus and I had a brilliant day.

She now wants a F1 style simulator rig though......not to mention countless Ferraris!!

Another positive review here. We had a good day out but my wife spent most of the day moaning about being cold! I was fine in shorts and t-shirt. Also managed to miss the simulator?

Anyway my photography skills are nowhere near the ones above but I did take this panorama of the SS car park.

Simulator was in the 'Wing'.

Forgot to say, big thanks to the folks in the E60 M5 who spotted that my mates ticket had blown out of his pocket and found us in the car park to hand him it. Cheers!

Well I hope all the tickets went in the end. Only made it to 507 on the list so didn't want to risk the 3hr drive up!

Looks like everyone that made it had a good day.

I managed to move 110 places in 3 days. May I suggest that people think before just signing up as it leaves it very last minute for some reservists when they change their mind Sunday morning. I can't belive that 110 cars broke down in 3 days!

I think a lot of people sign up 'just in case'; leaving the decision not to go until the very last second.

As you say, makes it very difficult for the reserve list to make any plans.

Thanks for organising this. It was a great day. I brought my 5 year old petrolhead along and he loved it too.

Another top SS organised by the PH crew!!! My wife couldn't believe we got in to the Ferrari day foc including a fivers worth of program!!! Must say a voluntary option to drop some cash in a bucket for charity at future SS' would be acceptable to us as a thank you ???smile

I would also have been happy to make a donation (as we were invited to do in 2012). Shame the f1 cliente did not go back out at 5 but the mix of cars in the last race was quite entertaining.

My four year old son did not want to miss the ferraris leaving so we had to walk back to the car park after the last race.

Do I get a prize for being the last one to leave the Sunday service car park at 6pm?

It occurred to me that this was my 5th Sunday service but I haven't been to any apart from at silverstone. That's mainly because that is as far north as they tend to be (apart from Malvern when I was in maranello!).

A massive thank you to the PH team for organizing a great day out. Had to come solo as my partner for the day pulled out sat evening and couldn't get a replacment, But well worth the journey for the sound off the XX cars alone.
Will post a couple of pics bit later.

I agree, but unfortunately st happens. And yes, there are also those that sign up knowing they are going on the lash the night before too...

However, if you're on the reserve list, you should also be ready and waiting to go as this always happens (not directed at you!) - there are always late drop outs for whatever reason, reserves can also stay signed up and don't bother to take their names off either which makes others lose out when the crash happens.

I Hope everyone who went enjoyed it as I was gutted to be a late drop out

Thanks again to PH for a great day out. I was lucky enough to attend in Porsche Centre Cambridge's restoration project from last year.

My photography skills definitely not up to some here, but my view of the day.

Not got around to getting my photos from the day off my camera yet, but have uploaded a short iPhone video of some of the different cars going round the circuit. Love the noise of both the F1 cars and the FXXs.
