cracking day at Silverstone in the end

weather in the morning was pants but got better in the end.

went up with POCTYin his sublime 996 GT3 RS. love that car.

can't believe how many cars were there!! must have been 500 plus and a really really great turn out.

lots of GT3s, some older stuff, a 993 GT2 copy (looked real to me!) , Carrera GT, RS 4.0 etc etc. some lovely non porker stuff there too.

funny seeing the CGT near a 991 GT3....I always thought the CGT was a big car but compared to modern stuff it looks fairly small!!

picture heavy warning!!

not best...at least get wheel colour to match the body. ouchie:

bonkers:

I did like this. is it spearmint green? old 964 turbo colour:

GT2 replica?

Just sorting out from a great PH day out. Thanks to PH for organising everything, including a load of autumn sunshine. Thanks to Porsche for a great venue. There was some fabulous machinery on display - so thanks to all those who turned out. Stars for me were the following in No particular order:

Lancia Detla Integrale - I've not seen one of those in ages
The 'clean' greyish coloured 911 that rolled in not long after me - no idea what motor it had but it sounded something epic
The Mini!
The well travelled Barchetta
A selection of 3.2, 3.0 Carerras and SCs - I like the old ones
All the exotica - Lamborghinis Ferarris, Porsche Carerra GT, Mustang, Loti, TVRs (which also always sound epic) Nobles, etc. etc.

And most importantly to all we stood and waffled on about cars with. Thanks all...

We had a grand pootle through Bucks, and Beds before hitting up the A1M south, and a lot of ha

Fair comment on my wheels! Only had it a couple of months and the previous owner thought colour coding was the way forward, just need to get them put right over the winter

Thank you again for nice event! Had a nice ride with Panamera smile This was first time out with our G wagon, because my 911 is getting some modifications at the workshop wink
I saw the G wagon on the way in - it looked really good!
Thanks smile It still needs some work.. After the meet I did clean the interior and it is already booked in for full respray.. (just bought the car)

I only took a couple of photos on my phone:

Another great turn out for Pistonheads Sunday Service at Porsche Experience Centre Silverstone by Lewis Craik, on Flickr

I actually saw this car while I was walking home from work earlier in the week - it really cheered up a grey afternoon, but I didn't get a chance to take a picture, so was glad to see it this morning.

Not got much to add to the thread other than to say a big thanks to everyone involved in getting these Sunday Services organised. Excellent turnout and atmosphere as always.

Surprised to say that, other than the Lambos which always have presence, my favourite car might well have been the 911 50th anniversary edition which was tucked away to the side. What a subtle, pretty car!

Was a great day, glad the weather was decent!

Some stunning cars, many of which I'd never seen in the flesh, things like the Carrera GT, amazing to just stand next to smile

We had a stroll around the track too and watched the Caterhams. For a free day, it was pretty good value!

It's a long shot given the calibre of the other cars there, but if anyone managed to get a snap of my Mini (red 64 plate, new shape) please post it up, I don't have any decent photos of it yet.

Cheers to PH and Porsche for organising it smile

I'm pretty sure I got a photo or two of your Mini, if I have I'll PM you.

So gutted.

Soon after going onto the A43 off the A5 where the roadworks are in my Trojan Bubble, she burst her rear tyre narrowly escaping rolling or smashing frown

The Evora helped hold the traffic away while awaiting the AA. By the time we were sorted there was no point attending frown

I'm sure a few folk attending must of seen us.

Fortunately all turned out well otherwise and Bubli will attend another SS next year! smile

Bad luck, hope you get on better next time.

On my way there, saw a silver Ferrari convertible in MK which looked like it had had 'an incident' coming off a roundabout, hope it wasn't a ph'er.
