The1Driver - if you are not already signed up, and it's your sort of thing, you might like to sign up to the GP UK Owners Club forum:

Can/why don't the organisers ask the offending parties to leave? Presumably some element of it is private land?

Back on topic.... Speed humps might help. Would be a shame but would definitely help

Good good.

You get any pics? Which Mini was yours? Spotted two... One appeared very modified!

You'll lose a large percentage of attendies as most low slung sports car won't be able to easily get over speed bumps.

ETA - Can't see them adding speed bumps just incase we come back for a car meet either. hehe

Mine was the modified one - a long way still to go.... engine rebuild, full cage, harnesses and a lexan window kit for a start....

I did get one or two pics yes. I'll try and upload them to Flickr

Can the MINI GP chat go elsewhere please!

Back on topic, maybe some PH banners at start and end of entry/exit roads telling people to keep speed down might reinforce its a PH message, then if someone disregards it they get turned around and not allowed to enter.

I guess.

In that case all PH/Organisers can do is advise that people dont get throttle happy on the straights.... Perhaps taking down people's Reg Numbers will entice people not to behave in such a way lol!!

It's the combination of a longish straight road and not a lot of traffic. As this was my first SS I took it easy in as I didn't quite know where I was ending up, and getting out was conscious of the crowds.

We shouldn't have to do that, everyone in attendance is an adult and despite us asking people to keep their speeds down, they ignore it.

We are not the Police and won't be taking notes of everyone's reg number but if the driving continues as it was yesterday it won't be a worry as we won't be able to hold the events any more.

I get where you're coming from. However, you "shouldn't" need to tell people how to drive. at such events... Yet here were are.

Perhaps taking down reg numbers is a little over the top. But it's clear talking isnt a good enough deterrent for some.
