What's the "Carrera Cup"? Looked smart but I"m guessing it cost a small fortune to make all those modifications to a Carrera?!

Thankyou for all the effort that went into organising the Sunday service, had a blast on the drift circuit, and nice to have a nose round some nice cars!!

Many thanks to PH and Goodwood for organising this morning, a very enjoyable way to spend a Dec Sunday.

First pic from today
Anyone get any pics of my MGB? I arrived a bit late, so wasn't in a prime location frown

Someone probably had a contact at a Cup Team. I remember seeing a black Carrera with Cup kit on it for sale a few months back - there can't be that many about!

We caught up with and followed this little Lancia from Arundel into Worthing. Fantastic to see it out on wet roads in December, and better still, it was wriggling along at a very good pace, right up there with everything else.... Fantastic stuff...

It's a cup racing shell, suspension etc that has been made road legal. It has an H pattern gearbox in instead of sequential. Goes like a rocket, sounds like nothing else and rides like a racing car on the road...

Thanks once again to all at PH for another brilliant SS. A memorable days driving for me coming up from Berkshire across the beautiful frosty countryside on some excellent roads and then capped off by some mud plugging and drifting! Oh also thanks to the helpful Goodwood staff, instructors and security.

Thanks to the PH team - a great morning.
Chap on the gate was bemused when I gave him the Jaffa cakes.
For me the Roller was the dogs...
Motorbike cop heading round Lasham on blues and twos on the way home got the big cahonies award of the day - rather him than me given the road was still not clear of frost and damp!
Till the next one.
Cheers, Pewe.

It started life as a 997 Carrera S and then had a Carrera Cup racing car engine, transmission, suspension, seats, harnesses and rear wing transplanted into it. So basically a road going race car. Am incredible machine. My CSR is parked alongside smile

arrived at 11am, left at about 11.20 as most people had already left! Will be less tardy next time. Got to see the Countach leave though, even my daughter liked that and she is hard to please when it comes to cars!

Think the rain shower at 11ish made a few people think it was time to go - we stuck it out but by the time I left around 12 most people had departed. It was blinkin' cold as well!

Had a nice journey home although the rain showers mean my car now doesn't look like it was cleaned for the day at all!

Well we got back to Leeds OK. I am extremely tired today though. My Mrs seems to have got a real taste for track driving, so that's good biggrin

I now have to crack on and make a lot of improvements to the old Wagon for the next one. Really enjoyed seeing some of the cars Sunday and we had a great time meeting a couple of likeminded characters and having a nice chat etc.

Bit gutted I didn't venture through to the other side and see the cars in there, but we were a bit late in, spent so long chatting and looking at the cars at our side that a lot of stuff had left by the time we had chance to go through.

Cheers PH for a fantastic weekend which won't be forgotten in a hurry!

Was good fun, only had one twitchy moment on the way down. Seemed to be a decent turnout, but the postcode in the email took a few people up past the house (RS4 & MGTF were the two we came across!).
