Hi guys n girls....I'm with a few others regarding parking in a field....it aint going to happen. Will burger/bacon van be open? We have had shed loads more than 750 cars before surely, one meet went from half way down Lavant straight all the way to Madgwick and all the paddocks and car parks.
Burger vans are always there. As for the parking along lavant that was one of the Goodwood breakfast clubs which dnot have a limit, however you did have the issue of people walking across an active runway so I guess Goodwood limit the numbers to avoid that issue. ecsrobin said:

Will have my new VXR8 GTS for this!
Goodwood seems to be a very popular place for VXR8's to gather. Anywhere a HSV is, more will follow! There is a very good HSV community on here of which I will be the newest member, and they love to meet up and argue NA vs FI
So how do the marshals know if your in or out, don't tell me they are going to have to look through a list of 750 non alphabetical entrants. The breakfast clubs system of printing your own ticket seems to work. I don't want to get up early (for a Sunday) only to get there to be told to park in a field....I'd rather stay in bed.

I was just going to ask the same question as above. How do the people on the gate know we are registered and not just passing so decided to nose around?
In the past, they have had a list of names, I assume the sort it alphabetically before printing! However more recently so many people drop out that the numbers are well below and they don't seem to check (which in my opinion is inviting people to abuse the current system)fuzzy01 said:

1. There is a list of all attendees that will be checked on the gate. So be sure to remember your PH name. 2. In the week prior to the Sunday Service all those who are in the first 750 on the list will be sent an email with instructions which have in the past included as sign to display as you enter.
I'm also pretty certain that noone is going to be asked to park in the field.
A few people looking to abuse the system, all I can say is don't as it could potentially ruin breakfast clubs for us all, we already have a long thread on below standard driving at breakfast clubs jeopardising venues (of which we have already lost one) the last thing we need is a venue putting a limit on vehicles and then more than the limit turn up and potentially losing that venue.
There is a list of names in alphabetical order plus you'll have the email that you have received.
Alternatively for those that weren't quick enough £1,000 and I'll sell you my place.

I have another problem entirely. I wanted to go but I've been swindled into going to Butlins that weekend against my will by my entire family so I tired to remove my name from the list & guess what? Can't! Oh well I have been looking forward to going anyway & would do anything to jeopardize a family holiday for the sake of a car show, bored family & arguments.

Can't wait for this! Will be my first Sunday Service and the second time my new car has been to a Goodwood event.
What time do people recommend getting there to avoid queuing
At the last Sunday service (also my first one) I arrived at 9am on the dot (it ran from 9-1) not wanting to be late and parked up straight away however a queue very quickly formed of people arriving moments after 9amWhat time do people recommend getting there to avoid queuing
Goodwood is a very "British at its Best" sort of place so in my experience tools, wheels, cans and biscuits are always safe in the "garaged" paddock. Give yerselves time when you get there to set your stall out and others will respect your space.
I have never had a problem leaving stuff out whilst on circuit,
We'll be there in a black MX5 turbo and a charged Monaro, not sure which ones going off first last year was a bit slippery if i remember

This is very true - however, if you don't have a tow vehicle and are concerned, then a cheapie pop up tent (£20 worth) and a small padlock provide a little extra security - someone picking up some kit and wandering around with it is unlikely to raise any suspicions at a track day; someone slashing a tent open might....I have never had a problem leaving stuff out whilst on circuit
