I hadn't bothered to look for one TBH due to this comment on the original article:

Ordinarily we would ask you to add your names to a list to reserve a space, but as is normal for our Vulcan visits you need to sign up directly on the XH558 page

It's even more awe inspiring when you remind yourself that the Vulcan first flew a mere 7 years after the end of WW2 and consider what the average car, home etc. was like at that time. It must've looked like it was from another world.

Indeed. My old man says such things as he saw it/them as a youngster (he's coming too). Plus i work in Aerospace, have a bit of a tragic obsession with most things that fly and the Cold War Era. Should be a cracking day biggrin

On another note Ive always said the same for Concorde. If that came out tomorrow... it would look futuristic.

Keep the bookings coming guys, I'm really looking forward to this one after reading the gripping book.
I took the book Vulcan 607 on holiday to the Dominican and read it in 4 days. I couldn't put it down it's an absolute joy to read, if you haven't read it buy it when you visit I did and I salute the engineers who made the projects and missions succeed.

I've had some great news this morning.

Martin Withers, who was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his part as a Vulcan pilot in the Falklands conflict will be there for our visit thumbup I'm hoping he'll do a talk too.

See you all there.

Perfect location for my first visit to a Sunday Service, it's only a 20 minute drive away!

I'll be bringing my Dad along in the Boxster, or knicking the wife's beemer if anyone else wants to go!

Tempted to head up and support this worthy visit-330 mile round trip! May come up on Saturday night and book cheap accom in Doncaster and have a couple of beers. What is Doncaster like for a night out, anyone? Easily pleased, especially if there are any live bands venues ;-)
