I've never tracked my car, but I'd say going in uninsured is a massive risk. Just do a search on here for track day crash. It can become very expensive.Any advice welcome - thanks.

Sure it's a risk, but you have to make your own decision. We insured ours for the PH Goodwood day but we never even got close to having any kind of incident and we were well off the pace as we took it quite easy, but we still had a great time. You have to weigh it up and make a choice....
Seem to be a fair few dropping out already.
I was looking at the track times and was tempted. Only late morning left with instructors (intermediate session might be a bit too much for me at that time of the morning!), but with insurance on top I think I will give it a miss this time. Had I not just bought an engagement ring I would be all over it.

Also just checked and the sessions I prefer are sold out. If someone can't make the 9:35 or 10:10 session let me know and I'll pay cost for it (assuming it can be transferred?).
I was unsure about what session. I've had a few small sessions in RenaultSport Meganes before, but not taken my XFR on track. I think I'm somewhere between novice and intermediate! I don't want the 9:00 session as I want to get a look round the car park first, and see what the standard of driving is like on track first!

There are a lot of questions answered in the T's and C's on the Silverstone Website.
Additional drivers are fine providing they have signed on with you but bear in mind it's only a 30 minute session so you'll need to do Le Mans style driver changes to ensure you have plenty of time on track

I'm booked for 9:35 but might have to drop out. I've enquired about transferring it as their T&C's don't say you can't.I was unsure about what session.
