I was on the 10:10 session in the white Renault 21 Quadra. Pity about the flags but had a hoot anyway and got some great pics and footage from here there and everywhere smile

To the yellow 911 ruf on the way home, quick car chap, sounds lovely!
What was in that thing! We were going to time you lapping it until the red flags came out.
It was around 1:11 to 1:12 but that was short shifting at 5500 and trying to find a rhythm (which I never really found due to the flags).
The engine is still original factory standard, never been apart with 39,900 miles on the clock. It's been a bit of an experiment on how far I can push it without internals really. It's 242bhp and 280lb/ft @ 18psi.
Otherwise, Slightly uprated turbo with 360 thrusts, 3" thick FMIC, 3" Mandrel bent exhaust and TIAL V44 Wastegate, Astra VXR injectors, Helix clutch and Adaptronic standalone engine management. And then a 4-pot, 330mm brake conversion up front, front and rear strut braces, interior stripped out and a bucket seat/harness.

New engine being built which should add another 200hp for next year smile

I rescued this car from a Scrapyard back in 2000, after a fire. Hard to believe that it's lasted this long and been this much fun. It was so very nearly coke cans and saucepans biggrin
One of my favourite cars of the day Dave along with the Cerbera and the Mazda RX7. Something about older cars that have been modified really appeals. I have an old Nissan 200sx running 350 bhp and it is a lot of fun. Hopefully see you out on Track

...all the stuff I said before...
I dont think the driving as that bad...
But why is he flashing the pace car (or is it me?) is it some kind of Masons trackday code?
He's a quick, technically good driver. Shouldn't have been in that session though. I probably didn't say it outright the first time but "bad driving" as in "inappropriate driving" isn't the same as "bad driving" as in "technically poor driving".

I'll put my hands up now and say I'd probably act very similar and probably have been impatient on trackdays in the past, I'm just not sure I'd have knowingly joined a Novice Session at my current experience level/speed, which mlhj83 presumably should well know by now too.

Anyway we've all berated him enough for this, nothing went wrong, hopefully he'll take the comments on board and realise he's graduated out of the slow class now. It's much more fun being on track with quick cars/drivers and keeping up with them anyway.

Hello chaps. C55 driver here. Had an absolute blast on my first Sunday Service and was completely blown away by the calibre of cars on show. It was great to chat to some of you as well. What a friendly bunch you are...

Big thumbs up to the Audi R8 V10 pilot and also the driver of the blue M3 with the roll cage. Very quick motors you have.
Hi fellers. the blue R8 V10 Plus here, fair play to you mate in that C55 that's one fast estate car!!!
What was it topping out at down the pit straight?
I managed to hit 142mph on the clock, it would have probably even got to 148 ish if I had even bigger balls, At the first kink leading onto the straight I was hitting it at about 126mph but bottled it for more after what happened to that poor 911 driver that put it in the wall earlier.

AS always, another great SS! Haven't been able to get to one for a while and the caliber of cars didn't fail to impress!

Like all Sunday Services, I spent most of the last few evenings trawling the classifieds to see what I chop my S class in for!

Here are a few phone pics: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/jimmyford/slidesho...

many thanks to the red cerbera, the M3 with red wheels, the siver merc estate and the blue bmw estate. all of you were giving it full beans on that track today and it was great to watch. i'll also mention the blue fiesta ST who came sideways around copse but saved it in almighty fashion. after coming to a stop in the opposite direction you carried on racing. what a champ!

That was me in the ST, just as well I brought some spare boxers. I hoping someone got a video of it

Alex thanks for posting,

Capturing many of the TVR's that attended the day(Mine pictures 75/76) I think picture 76 of the cockpit shows what a lovely place these are to spend time behind the wheel.
Coming up at nearly 18 years old and all original apart from the Leven bits it's holding up well smile

Loved the colour of the T350 in picture 21/22 inside and out, exterior Green one way, purple and brown at other angles(My favorite TVR of the day)

On a side note thanks to PH for making these events possible, some beautiful and well turned out cars in the car park and some great action on track to pass the hours.

Thanks also goes to MRC986 for leading our 11 car Midlands convoy run which we managed to keep together 99% of the time.thumbup
Welcome!

You da man.

Got video evidence of me trying to jam into second through Maggots and having to make a bit of a save in the little silver MX5. Cheers!

Good skills mate

Move over! Yes that was me in my wife's mini convertable you asked to move over but I was on the correct line you sadly were not, hence the later spin. Also try copse in 4th gear and use all the track( you did pay for it all) 😉
