It was around 1:11 to 1:12 but that was short shifting at 5500 and trying to find a rhythm (which I never really found due to the flags).
The engine is still original factory standard, never been apart with 39,900 miles on the clock. It's been a bit of an experiment on how far I can push it without internals really. It's 242bhp and 280lb/ft @ 18psi.
Otherwise, Slightly uprated turbo with 360 thrusts, 3" thick FMIC, 3" Mandrel bent exhaust and TIAL V44 Wastegate, Astra VXR injectors, Helix clutch and Adaptronic standalone engine management. And then a 4-pot, 330mm brake conversion up front, front and rear strut braces, interior stripped out and a bucket seat/harness.

New engine being built which should add another 200hp for next year smile

I rescued this car from a Scrapyard back in 2000, after a fire. Hard to believe that it's lasted this long and been this much fun. It was so very nearly coke cans and saucepans biggrin
Love it, fantastic rescue smile

An LS3 will be from a Chevy of some sort. Pretty sure the C6 Corvettes used a 6.2 LS3 V8 which pushed out 430bhp.

And this smile

I bought both cars from scrapyards and rebuilt the burned one with the smashed one, which only had 18k on the clock (and mice in the glovebox).

Brilliant day, our first SS and it didn't disappoint!

Echo all the above as far as thanks to all at PH and Silverstone for putting on such a class event.

Does anyone have any shots or footage from either the 11:55 or 3:20 sessions? as most of the vids are from the early morning sessions (Cascade Blue Tuscan)

Thanks in advance.

Move over! Yes that was me in my wife's mini convertable you asked to move over but I was on the correct line you sadly were not, hence the later spin. Also try copse in 4th gear and use all the track( you did pay for it all) ??
Did I touch a nerve or something? To be honest your 'reply' is patheic and childish but il try harder next time Lewis!!

The engine in that one is from a late Camaro, its stroked and cammed too around 530bhp, Similar to my Cerbera which is bored, stroked, cammed, with ITB's on the top. My Block was from a Hummer i think and makes around 570bhp.

As a spectator of one of the silver MX5's (R64 MJH, Mk1) I did take quite a few pictures of that car but I also took quite a few of other cars in his sessions (9:35 and 10:45).
9:35 session: https://www.flickr.com/photos/hammerblaster/sets/7...
10:45 session: https://www.flickr.com/photos/hammerblaster/sets/7...

There were some great cars on track on Sunday having plenty of fun. I've seen the picture on Instagram of the Porsche - such a shame for the owner. To the guy in the red MX5 Mk1 in the 10:45 session (@born2bslow?), he had a lot of fun with you especially as you had like-for-like machinery (though you had some decent tyres on!).
All in all, great day! smile

Thanks! Not as good as the professional photographers they're but still quite good. Forgot to add that in the 9:35 session, I start at the pit wall (for one photo), then move to the bridge on the Wellington straight (viewing towards Brooklands) and then go to Luffield to finish off.
In the 10:45 session, I am at Maggots & Becketts (where you turn right onto the Wellington straight).

That's hot, you rarely see those cars on the road but seem like a popular car for on track for good reason

All the MX5's were awesome handling those corners, you can see in the vids how much you catch up the cars infront
