Hats off to the Morgan staff who turned out especially for us to look around. The visitor facilities have improved from 2014 & the home made cake was delicious and extremely good value. I think all our group on the tour were agog when we were told they had 25,000 visitors around the factory last year. We had a proper British welcome which many others in the industry should take note of.....does PH think they could get Bentley to open us for us either on a Sunday (or Saturday if necessary)?

In the meantime a massive thank you to the team at Morgan thumbup

Well I've just made it to 300 at 8:47am. There must of been at least 20 drop outs overnight as I've made alternative plans now.

I know we've looked at alternative options for ensuring the list works and it's not a knock at anyone as it's very complex to manage but it is frustrating that unless you are within the qualifying number by Saturday morning it becomes a huge lottery.
agreed. if you watch the video that's been posted in this thread it's blatantly obvious less than 300 turned up.

it was the same at silverstone recently (500 places). i did a not very scientific calculation.
i counted two rows of cars (about 45-50 in each) and there were 6 rows of them.
add on the cars taking turns to start the track day and it was roughly 320.

Great meet today thanks to Morgan and the organisers. Prob the best Sunday service of year so far and one of the best period. Really want a Morgan now (don't have the spare funds though) not something I was too fussed about until the factory tour. Bus the level of craft is amazing.

Awesome day out but looking at the that drone footage I must of missed out on seeing most of those cars.

Turned up at about 11am and the car park was maybe 30% full but still got some pics.

Another top event Pistonheads. smile

Just got back from the Sunday Service at Morgan. The people there couldn't have been more accommodating (I'm currently confined to a wheelchair).

They not only brought the 3 Wheeler round to where I was parked so I could get in it and do the passenger ride but they organised a guide to show us around the workshops where they build the cars.

Top people spin

glad you enjoyed the ride.....
we put a few miles on our 3 wheeler today !

A very big thank you to Morgan Motor Co. for going the extra mile and really making us all very welcome and thanks to the PH team for organising what was a great SS.

It was great to see such a successful British manufacturing company producing stunning products and launching new ones to boot. They can't build the 3-Wheelers quickly enough either! Great to hear. Well done chaps, makes you proud to be British!

Excellent event, thanks to all involved in making it possible. Was well worth the early rise to get across from Cambridge.
Can't say Morgan's have ever really done much for me but a three wheeler is top of my wish list now! To own something as thoroughly English and had crafted as that would be a dream.
And speaking to some of the apprentices, its good to know we still value skill and craftsmanship in British engineering.
Well done Morgan.

I'd just like to add my thanks here as well. My dad and I were originally going to go up in his old Morgan 4/4 but brake issues meant we ended up in my Impreza instead. Had a lovely morning wandering around and both enjoyed our rides in the 3 wheelers. Factory tour was fascinating!

Good to see plenty of cars turn up as well, it seemed that some people were leaving at around 10.30am while others were still showing up - possibly why the numbers seemed a bit low?

So 1st thank you goes to Blackhawk for taking the time to take and upload pictures thumbup

2nd thank you goes to Piston Heads for arranging such a good event for the calendar.

3rd thank you goes to Morgan and the tour guides and workers that showed us their skill and knowledge and the craftsmanship that goes goes into building these classic British cars. clap

Was having a leisurely drive across country on some lovely roads I've never driven before when my rear view mirror got filled by a Noble an X-Bow,Renault 21,Audi RS and a few others... Strange isn't it had your pace suddenly increases smile
