We did Goodwood with PH last December (hoping to do so again this year!) and were in a much less valuable car. I'm worrying slightly about the current car but nobody really pushes that hard on these days. I'll not be doing tuition though as I honestly don't want to be persuaded to push too hard!
Trust me, the last thing they'll do is push you hard - it is of course entirely up to you, but in my experience they the instructors tend to value their own lives highly enough that their primary focus will be on making sure you're lapping safely!

As you say though, it is just a track day and given that there are sessions if you're on the novice one you should feel pretty comfortable - after all, this is all about having fun!

I really enjoyed the one earlier in the year, so will be booking again, are there more sessions later, as my wife wants to try my MR2 on track too, but would prefer a lie in to being in one of the PH sessions!

Registered and booked do tot the last intermediate track session too.

Will be fun to see how the M3 compares to how my previous 997 went around Silverstone!

Still trying to pluck up the courage to pop my cherry and book a track session. Every time i pick up the phone I remember seeing that 996 stack it.

Does anyone know a track day insurance that will cover just for these sessions? I've had one quote online from Morris but that is for a full day, is there anyone that will offer a reduced rate to take into account the fact this isn't a full track day?

Absolutely LOVED this one last time. Great stuff! Think my car is too loud for the track though. Hopefully we don't get any crashes this time.

Hopefully I can get a slot booked.....a E39 540i auto on track should be.....comfortable, if not all that fast!

Which session did you book for? I reckon you should still be genuinly faster than me in my not at all track ready Saab C900! Wonder if there will be anyone slower than me in my session biggrin (I'm in the second Novice session btw).

Going as well, booked up on the 2nd novice session given I've not driven the National circuit. Did the south part many many years ago before the circuit got changed... maybe 2003 when I did that.

Booked up on Novice session instead of Intermediate, only because my car is only 100bhp hatchback so I want to take it easy but couldn't miss the opportunity to actually drive the Silverstone tarmac.

I've just removed myself from the 500 parking space list to free up another space smile

There is a later novice session, but I can't actually get through to silverstone to book it.

Let me know if this continues to be the case - I'll chase them from this end if so!

I rang at about 1pm this afternoon, got through in two rings and got booked onto the 2nd Intermediate. No issues here!

Yes - if you are part of the Sunday Service you'll be able to spectate.
