Someone at PH needs to persuade VTTS to fly over Silverstone on Sunday as part of her farewell tours.

I don' think even the powers of PH could make that happen.

However if everyone going requested it? they might make a detour? enquiries@vulcantothesky.org

Just taken myself off the list, I'm in the paddock for a track session now. Should be another fun SS hopefully the poor weather will have blown away by then as well.

You never know. I was at a Vulcan lecture last night and Martin Withers, chief pilot and man who puts the routes together, said that he loves displaying at Silverstone.

Everyone needs to send an email to that address requesting it!

Are there any spaces left for the track and if so how do I book it? I'm currently booked in just for the car park but would like to do the track session if possible.

You have to ring up the number for bookings on the main page.

Looking forward to watching you all on track - weather forecast at the moment seems to be improving for Sunday, fingers crossed!

Those not in the top 500, lots will drop out this week. Last time a good 100 or so dropped out ahead of me (a lot of those on the Friday/Saturday).

Unfortunately friends have decided to make the trip down to Yorkshire and visit on sunday with their new child so I will be dropping out and making space for some other lucky bugger smile

Edit:

I'm out and the winner is...

Well I managed to speak with Matt at Silverstone yesterday and he's helped me out. I didn't get a refund per se, but they have parked the money on my Silverstone account so that I can use it next time there's a taster day.

I'll take that. Cheers to the PH guys that helped too.

What's the scoop with entry passes? Last SS I did was the Morgan factory in 2014, we had smileys emailed out a few days before. Is it the same story this time?

Normally yes. 48hrs or so before.

They're fairly lax about checking for them though, so don't sorry if you don't recieve it.

How dare you! hehe

Seriously though, how carefully we check the windscreen badges is purely dependant on how much spare capacity we have at a venue... if we're tight on space we'll check all of them. More importantly though they're used by marshals to direct you to the right part of the venue (especially important at large venues where more than one event can be happening... like Silverstone!)

To answer the original question though, the email almost always goes out on the Wednesday afternoon before the event.

Is there likely to be any more spaces in the novice group?

Glad you got it sorted. I can't imagine it being too long before we hold another one there.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all there, I'm booked into the 11:20 intermediate session in a C5 RS6. I've done silverstone on a bike but not a car, hopefully the heavy beast will manage ok lol.
