Classic and Sports Car Sunday Service 01/11

Get yourself down to Ally Pally for a Sunday Service and a great show alongside!

In case you hadn't noticed, this month sees the very first Classic and Sports Car Show open its doors. As a sister publication, we're very keen to be a part of the show so it's with great pleasure that we can announce a Sunday Service running at the same time. Yep, we're keeping busy over the next few weeks!

On display will be some of the most iconic and popular cars from the past 60 years, showcasing the development and advancement of fast cars through the years. As well as this there will be some of the most prestigious dealers and highly regarded collectors in the industry attending.

As you're probably aware, the show will also see Classic and Sports Car's 'Best British Car' announced, as voted for by the public. The ten cars shortlisted and voted for over the past six months will be on display, including a Range Rover, McLaren F1 and Jaguar E-Type; combined, they're worth an incredible £30 million.

The Best of British theme continues into a Sir Stirling Moss tribute as it celebrates his sensational career with many of the single seater cars associated with his career, including a Lotus 8 and a Ferguson P99.

PistonHeads has been allocated 100 spaces for the Sunday Service which will be held in the Pavilion Car Park situated close to the main doors. We also have 200 free tickets - two per car - for all those attending. As per usual, refreshments will be available on arrival and throughout the morning.

This is the perfect opportunity for those members who have a classic car to shake of the dust covers and have one last run out with fellow PHers before winter truly sets in. Modern cars will be of course let in though!

We know places for this event are limited and for those that unfortunately miss the list tickets are still available at 20 per cent off; enter the code 'CSCSPH' at the checkout to redeem the offer. Children under 16 go free as well. Buy your tickets here.

Also on the day we'll be selling T-shirts, mugs and stickers at this Sunday Service. It's cash only, so come prepared with some extra pennies to grab yourself some PH goodies! Add your name to the calendar and we look forward to seeing you.

Sign yourself up via the calendar here.

Fantastic! Was contemplating this car show privately, but we said it was too close to a holiday to justify the cost - Thank you Pistonheads!!

Sorry to sound a bit simple but... If you get allocated parking with the PH SS does that mean you get two free tickets? Or do you still have to buy them. Cheers,
Sam

If you're in the 100 SS spaces you'll get a pair of tickets on us!

As an aside, with this in mind we'll be VERY disappointed if any of the 100 people on the list don't turn up... So we're going to be taking a register at the event to keep track of users that fail to arrive.

With this in mind, if you can't come please don't be selfish and deny another PHer from a great day out - make sure that you remove yourself from the list no later than the Tuesday before the event.

Thanks all

Thanks to the PH team for organising this, i'm normally too late for the SS events with very limited spaces so i was pleasantly surprised to make it on the list.

Regards,
Matt

I thought this was a Classic and Sports Car Show...of the first 100 people signed up, at least half the cars are neither of those things! 3-series Touring? 7-Series? C'mon, behave!

Bit late to the party, so unlikely to make the list... I was tempted to go anyway though!

Never been to Ally Pally before, is it worth driving (is there decent parking), or is the train the better bet?

You don't have to own a classic to qualify for the Classic and sports car Sunday Service... just like we don't have a "Mercedes only" rule when we got to Mercedes-Benz World.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but any plans to revisit Mercedes World? Was in attendance earlier this year and loved it.

We'll be back at MBW at some point, but we've got some other new and exciting venues coming up before then!

Ok great thanks. The reason why I think MBW is so popular is down to the fact you can drive some blisteringly fast cars for £30 which was a bargain IMO. Any Sunday service which allows yountonsctually drive is going to get a huge thumbs up. i was in attendance on Sunday and that was a brilliant event.

Does the Sunday Service start at 9am and what time do we have to leave the Pavilion Car Park?

Message for John Oliver (John Simpson) Focus RS400 & Westfield owner.

John I'm in on the list for this event and notice you're currently well down the reserve list. I've got a spare passenger seat in the TVR and you're welcome to come down with me for this event. Just let me know through this forum as I don't think you do email.

Cheers, Richard (red supercharged TVR Chimaera, First Avenue).
